As a fan and probably as a team you clearly underestimated QPR. Since the turn of the year their form is that of a top 6 team. Beaten Leicester & Leeds and taken points off Ipswich, WBA and Norwich and beaten Hull in 7th, so capable of beating anyone on their day. The reason they are down there was a terrible start to the season. Your remarks about QPR are laughable and clueless! 😂

@@LeedsLately True but what you could have mentioned is QPR's recent form rather than just their league position. Although I must admit (as a QPR fan) the best I was hoping for was a draw and Leeds were a massive disappointment. I'm still hoping they go up though. Two good mates of mine are Leeds fans. So maybe even if Ipswich get over the line, this will be the kick in the pants you need for the play offs.

QPR fan here. Good analysis, I think you're right when you say that Leeds sat back too much in the opening quarter. It's easy to say in retrospect, though - QPR are above Leeds in the last 6 matches form table, and many other managers would also have adopted a cautious approach, given the importance of the match, counting on getting a win over the 90 as a result of having a superior strike force. I thought that QPR were almost flawless tonight. Good luck in the playoffs (unless Ipswich trip up)

I wouldn't give up on them just yet! :) .. They can still do it. They have the chance now to reflect, and get a bit angry about how they played last night, let's hope it hits home. I hope they all go take a look at the statue of BIlly Bremner, and promise him that they'll do their best. As @rolandsimpson1480 said, they just need a bit of fire in their hearts, and they need to remember that they're are Leeds United!

We have not played well since the international break, we have been on a downward spiral. When we need our team to step it up they let us down. Farke for me should have been rotating the squad better to keep every one fresh. When plan A is not working then you should have a plan B and change things tactically. Disapointed and flaming fuming. Lets hope they turn up on Saturday and get the win. MOT

QPR supporter here.. I told everyone we was going to win this game, but not just win but win by a lot. You had a midweek away game and we had fresh legs. I absolutely knew you would look down at the table at us and massively underestimate us. The fact is we've always had some decent players, but rubbish managers. Now we actually have a decent manager and if you look at our form since he took over we are a top 6 team! We play better when we have a point to prove, just like when we beat Leicester away.. we love these kind of games. Plus it was never in your hands even if you did win, promotion is decided on Ipswich's results as they can achieve more points than you.

Absolutely agree. Since Cifuentes joined, QPR is a force to reckoned with in the Championship and if we keep our current form (loosing only 4 matches lost in 18 matches) we are good for at least the play offs next year. Yes we had a bad defence this season but when QPR faced top 5 teams they always delivered. Loosing by one goal against Leeds and Leicester and then beating them in the second leg. A draw at home against West Bro (which maybe the most entertaining match to watch at Loftus Road in a while.) etc.

@guerriosPG Since Marti joined we have the second best defence in the league. Only Leeds have conceded fewer goals than us (even after the 4-0 win) we've not even given away a single penalty under Marti. Yes I agree, would love to be challenging for the playoffs next season 🤞🏻

Tbf QPR played extraordinarily well during periods. One touch keeping the ball for long periods. You came up against a confident team with lots of players putting themselves onto the shop window for a new contract. I mean to concede to Dykes is practically a freak event.

I’m a Leicester fan. We’d virtually given up a few weeks ago because as our formed dipped Leeds and Ipswich were relentless…. I was convinced we were heading for the playoffs. So you really helped us out. Thanks 🙏

Underestimated QPR big time. That was the best football I've seen Rangers play at home this season. Looked very comfortable. Leeds looked barely a threat all game.

I saw a lot of leeds fans use QPR's xG from beginning of season to now and be like "Yea we should win easily" 😂. Some do 0 homework whatsoever. QPR ainsworth is a completely different team to QPR marti. Stats are pointless without context.

As a QPR fan I have to admit that I thought we were going to lose. Leeds has had a fantastic run, and even though we have done well, I thought that we would lose. How wrong I was, but how delighted also. It is a mountain to climb, but something to think about especially now that we are coming to the end of the season. You could well make it.

Most of your players think they are Prem quality, to busy thinking of Prem money. You blew it .

Underestimated your opponent QPR have been playing well the last few games - they have had to shape up or end up in the bottom of the table ... Over confident and got punished

My Take on it is that Farke has lost the dressing room since BB, piroe was getting a lot of stick on the pitch from Gnonto and Summerville, rutter was dire should have been pulled at half time along with Piroe, the midfield as in the boro game was non existent, but to lose so badly and meekly tells me all I need to know about this team, and I 'am afraid all my predictions have come true, we will be knocked out of the playoffs in the first round and it's another year in this league, with reduced parachute payments and to be honest, I don't care if the "so called" better players leave, they are not as good as they think they are. When Byram refused to shake Farkes hand at the end that tells you the wheels have come off. I was lambasted on Joes channel and some of the other presenters for saying Farke out at BB, I still think Farke should leave even before the playoffs new manager bounce? 90 points and some records broken means absolutely nothing now! What are they doing on the training ground it beggars belief. Concrats to the crisp packets, they deserve to go up in my opinion, Ipswich will now have no pressure and I 'am sure they will go up. Lack of squad rotation, under utilising subs, subs brought way too late, no strength in depth, I could go on! Please tell me why Gerhardt was put on with ten minutes to go in a pressure cooker and the last time he played was in the FA cup, Farke is clutching at straws????! This is a collective failure but this is on Farke as its on the team!

Qpr fan here we were up for this and knew we would win lot of pressure on your boys who need to be picked up soon you should be fine, this is where the manager earns his crust

It's the morning after, we didn't turn up at all. My one takeaway without dissecting every play is this, We had no Maturity on the pitch. Particularly up front and in the 10. For all the skill of Gnonto and Summerville they lose their heads when it isn't going their way. Gnonto particularly had his wrong head on from the start.

QPR fan here - saw the game down here in South Africa. I know it could be due to perception but every time they focused on your coach he was sitting down, hunched down in his seat - while Marti was standing up and motivating the Rangers team at every opportunity. QPR under Marti Cifuentes is a different kettle of fish to QPR under that waste of space Gareth Ainsworth. Under Marti Rangers had earned 42 points in 30 matches (now 45 in 31). The Championship is an exciting, difficult league to predict - you underestimate your opponents at your peril. I think there was a bit of complacency in the Leeds camp - they never got off the bus, not that it bothered me. In fairness I still think Leeds will still go up - even if they might have to do it via the playoffs.

There are games your players win and games your manager wins. Bielsa used to win us games all the time with subs and tactical changes. What game has Farke won us this season? He seems to pick the team he thinks is the best and then if it goes wrong we're done. He stands at the side of the pitch and looks lost and makes the kind of subs a teenager would make on FIFA.

Leeds remembered that they're Leeds United, the team who do well against strong teams and throw away games that are thought of as easy... I'm glad i fell asleep asleep 20 minutes into the game, wasn't worth staying up after those first 2 goals

QPR came on fired up.Leeds and the bookies thought it would be a walk in the park.How very wrong they all were.

It's partly to do with the International break, it's not an excuse to say we haven't been the same since then. And it's also due to lack of squad rotation, refusing to play certain players even when others are not performing well, and the late substitutions Farke makes. It's never before 60 minutes, not even last night. I've been a big supporter of Farke for most of the season, but lately he seems to be doing strange things, like trying to play a mid/low block in the last 2 or 3 games when we haven't done that all season.

I've been a fan for over 30 years and we all know what we have lived through all these years. For me this was Watford 2006 all over again. I get that the lads are young but if you go out on the pitch without "Billy Brenner's barmy army" ringing in your head then you don't understand this club and you don't deserve to win. No heart, no guts, no b***s, that's not my Leeds United. Just like we will never stop loving this club so should the players never stop fighting on the pitch! MOT (and they should really ask themselves what that actually means.)

You cant just assume that because you are pushing for promotion you are going to get an easy win - the Championship is a gnarly league - anyone can beat anyone on their day. QPR have been shit for much of the season , but we have some quality players and under our new manager - we are a different beast to what we were in august - GL for the last game .

Well there it is, you are right. If Ipswich Town don't fall we will remain in this division. it was a good try and a very exciting sesson. I thought we would be champions. e will try again next season.

I wasn’t going to whine too much about the lack of rotation, since we continued to get results with almost the same XI all season. But l was worried about it for a while and sure enough it’s come back to bite us. How do you expect a 17 yr old in his debut first-team season to play all 46 games? Why wasn’t Cresswell part of the rotation, especially once Struijk went down? Why haven’t we seen Joseph when Piroe and Bamford were not finding the net? The lack of rotation means that now, when you need the captain to come into the midfield to shore things up and take ownership, you can’t move him in there because you can’t count on Cresswell to replace him cuz he hasn’t played all season. Farke doesn’t trust Joseph to start over an anonymous Piroe because he hasn’t played him throughout the season. It’s just poor management that’s led to this. Our best players are gassed at the end of the season because they haven’t been rested, and they put in a dreadful performance as a result

QPR here. Yes Leeds didn't press. The Chair first goal was almost slow motion - every R knew exactly what he was going to do, trundle up on the slight angle, shimmy to the right and curl shot to the right corner (deflection thanks v much) but Leeds just stood off. But you like Leeds I think also slipped into the mistake of looking at Rs' position and thinking they're rubbish. They were. But a notional 2024 table has Leeds top and Rs' 5th.

Why do we bottle it all the time, at this point of the season aswell? We won’t win the playoffs, we never do. Piroe is terrible, why did we buy him? We need a miracle that Ipswich lose tomrorow and the second game. But we won’t win against Southampton.

One thing I would say is, if we somehow got promoted, this would not be the team in the PL. We would invest in better quality for sure. But sadly I don't think we'll find out.

Very restrained. All valid points, but the truth is these results have been coming for some months. Everyone got hyped on the run before Christmas,which was a good period, but since then - even during the period of unbeaten games we got lucky in several of those, or the teams we played were really poor and still we scraped some results. Look at the teams that have beaten us this season, all but Southampton we should (as Leeds) be winning. We won’t get promoted now and I’m glad as I actually prefer no VAR, and perhaps the new owners will realise now that Farke is not a good in-game manager.

I'd like to say that your 10 minute summary was absolutely excellent and I will be subscribing to listen to more of your thoughts. I think you were absolutely spot on with everything that you described and I think you did it very politely and very calmly. and u described our situation perfectly ! I do feel you haven't read the form book and a bit demeaning to a good side that have improved greatly. I still think when Leeds get their injured players back they will go up if it has to be via playoffs so be it.

If only we were on the level of your analysis we’d be fine. Full credit to QPR and obviously Farke is feeling the Leeds pressure now and making strange decisions. Form is everything and Joseph should have started the last couple of games(if not from the beginning of the season!) I’ve a lot of respect for Piroe as he came to the club as a striker and ended up playing most of the season behind the striker and never spat his dummy out but his form is terrible, Bamford form terrible what is Farke doing? And no I don’t want him sacked I want him to stay and put things right but we’re going to lose so many players as we stay in the championship. Heart breaking

I completely agree with you. How in hell could we lose to a team with the worst home record and not only lose but ship 4 goals!!! Such an important game with all to play for and we decide to put on our worst performance of the season. So, so disappointed and lost for words.

Can't believe what I just watched, the complete definition of a 'bottle job' the whole team were abysmal and Farke has a lot to answer for, it was obvious that changes were needed very early in the game and he did nothing at half time, Piroe ffs ? I've seen more movement in Madam Tussauds !.

Up to that game, QPR could have lost the last 2 games and gone down if other teams had won. So, from a QPR perspective, it had to be a win. We've been scrapping out results like mad. I honestly thought Leeds would have shown up. You didn't and got punished by a committed QPR team. Good luck with the remaining games.

You can when even an average keeper should be saving simple strikes at goal! This is a constant thing with Meslier! Last nights performance was atrocious from everyone, but you and others constantly defend the indefensible. The guy is average at best. Farke is tactically inept, especially in game, relies on 2 players to do something and if that doesn’t work sits on the bench with a confused look on his face and then with 10 minutes to go brings all the strikers on! There’s no style of play and no tactics other than Rodon and ampadu passing to each other constantly. It’s happened all season.

We could see Bielsa's work on the training field come through on match days. We could see how he changed games. We haven't seen any of that with Farke. We can all pick a decent team and stand there with our arms folded.

Could tell there was a bad vibe as soon as Gnonto decided to act like a 10-year-old instead of dusting himself off and getting on with it!

I don't mind them faltering now, it would be a fairly miserable season if this team got promoted. They would get humped week in week out. Leicester, Ipswich and whoever will really struggle, the gulf between Championship and Premiership is bigger than ever. Just ask Burnley, Sheffield Utd and Luton.

Disgusting. A draw would have been nice. I recon the play-offs for us, but without anyone to put the ball in the net, I don't rate out chances. Not good enough for promotion. Been a supporter since 1962 and this must be the biggest let down of all. They just don't deserve pay or promotion !

We were shit, really shit and disappointing but on the flip side, there's a real good chance we avoid the Arab circus along with VAR, plastic fans and players who REALLY don't give a shit.

We have some attacking guys but we dont have an attacking team. And where the hell is the fighting spirit!

When they lost to Coventry on April 6th, it was obvious that they'd been exposed. They only have one way of playing, but it's dependent on a forward line that's inconsistent and full of prime donnas. They won't win a single game in the playoffs

a small point, there was a significant problem between piroe and summerville for this penalty...a locker room can explode after an event like this..we feel a tension between these two.....I maintain that QPR was a weak team and that we...we were very weak and pretentious..job that I defend a lot with 2 goals for him..now it is time to become the Leeds at the start of the season again...

A couple minutes after 1-0 it felt we lose with 3-0 I was wrong i want to be 4!

QPR fan here, you go on about our defence but our record is in the top 4 in the league since Marti Cifuentes has come in. yeah our home record hasn't been great this season but just looking at our previous 3-4 home games you would see that we have been ok at home at the back end of the season. Still hope you don't get promoted x

My brother who bet sport told me about this Leeds game that its fixed and they gonna loose by high goals just how they won few days ago wich is over 3.5 goals and i didnt listen to him i told him LEEDS or draw well i lost my bet .

I don't know any Leeds fans who said that. I do know Leicester fans who were crowing about a 17 point gap which Leeds not only closed, but they were above Leicester just recently.

Agree that most managers cannot manage substitutions correctly. The classic example is bringing on a forward at 88 minutes, when you're already 3 down ? 😂😂

Playoff final - Leeds vs WBA.

Leeds is leading today's lugubriousness. Lacking the high-lifting league's leverage. Choking and collapsing into a relegation-clawing club is unnerving and gnaws at the soul.

The defence of Meslier is ridiculous! He has been utterly poor all season. Everyone was garbage. Starting with the manager.

Since the international break, we have been dreadful.

Not sure if your players have ever played at a pitch, so close to the fans. We have an old fashioned stadium and we could see the fear in their eyes. We did out play you to be fair as well

Bottled it again just as they will bottle the play-offs. The ultimate bottlers strike again.

Farke was clearly rattled in his interview. He looked like a man who has been found out. All the excuses came out. Young team. 90 points usually being enough. If he was worried about a young team then why leave Kamara on the bench? And you play the season you're in. If you wanna get promoted then you can't lose to QPR, Stoke, Blackburn, Sunderland, Coventry, Birmingham, Preston. We did the double over Ipswich and Leicester and yet lose to struggling teams? There's something wrong there, that's a lack of honesty. It's your manager's job to keep you honest. The fact is Farke doesn't have the bottle to handle a club as big as Leeds. Heckingbottom got Sheffield United up, but he was a disaster with us. To say we have exciting attacking players, we've been pretty boring to watch for a lot of the season and it's caught up with us.

Tu es très sévère même si je comprends l amertume ..farke a 90 points ..les joueurs ont cassés quelque chose et farke ne peut sûrement pas voir ce problème si les joueurs n ont plus envie .. meslier est pitoyable hier et on a l’impression que les joueurs ne sont pas ensembles ...Farke ou bielsa c est pareil quand des joueurs deviennent des enfants qui se font la gueule
