Find two poor families black and white and they live the same. Trust me kiddo, been to 37 countries and lived all over the world. Arabs, Brazilians, Irish, Russians, Ethiopians, Indians Nigerians etc all live the exact same lives. Humans are human. They all just wanna eat dinner/smoke/drink together and roast each other.

Ellis’ dream of sending his kids to school trips is exactly the reason why my oldest is going on a 13 day trip to Italy, France, and Spain this summer with others from his school. I’ll be 39 next month and haven’t had the opportunity to travel outside of the US. Financially it’s never been an option. Being able to let him go on a trip I’ve dreamed about for decades is why my husband and I work so damn hard. One day I’ll travel the world but right now I’m beyond excited for him to have this opportunity!

To be fair to The Rem, Vienne is literally what we call Vienna in French ! And the Italian city he's thinking of is Sienna I believe ❤

I am in shock! I’ve always thought Vienna was only the Italian name for Wien (which I thought was also the correct name for it in English until now😂😂) Vienna gives Italian because it is an Italian word. Siena has only one N

Ok so hear me out.. I’m now a 37 year old mum of 3 and when I was young i always had sleep overs and had them at my house. I also allow my kids to have sleep overs at my house and with kids I know personally. However a few years back I found out that a close childhood friends dad was arrested for child p**n… I slept in that mans house more times than I care to remember and although he never did anything to me (THANK GOD) I’m now very wary of where I let my kids go. I thought that man was lovely very kind and always interested in what we were doing he was a pretty “cool dad” now I just feel sick. I read in the paper he had years and years worth. He lived across the road from me. So yeah I’m now scared to death of allowing my kids to stay out x

even though he never did anything to you....that's why its paranoia and even though it's unfortunate that you have this awful anecdotatal past story it's not even an experience. kids aren't living bc parents have fear of things that don't statistically happen at the rates we are fearing them. this bunch is going to grow up and call this some kinda something and its goign to be a big therapy something...

Facts. Most of the time parents say No for no reason to the child, it’s because we’re scared and trying to protect them. Having your kid out of sight is terrifyin cuz we know the world. Unfortunately it translates to them that we don’t want them to live.

In year 11 we had a week trip to France, in term time, but my parents wanted to go on holiday and said I can go France with the school and stay with family when they go on holiday, or I miss the school trip and go on holiday, i hated half the girls in my year so i chose the family holiday, there was me and about 3/4 others that didn't go to France, so my dad pulled me out of school for the week for a "family emergency" up north, I have no family up north 😂😂😂

I remember my friends dad (daily heavy liquor drinker) hiking with us, stayed ahead, chain smoking carrying the heaviest ruck, laughing at the peak while we’re crawling like over-encumbered mules. “Come on, sissy boys, it ain’t that hard.” (I am a cis-woman BTW😂)

The sleep over conversation is truly 1 of those “wait until you have kids, and you’ll understand” conversations. I use to be so upset when I couldn’t spend the night. Now that I have a child I UNDERSTAND!!! All parents are not good parents. And you don’t know WHAT is going on in that household. If they have pedophiles in the family, abuse substances, have unsavory values. A sleep over has to be worked towards. The parents HAVE to know each other ITS A MUST!
