the challenge with bleed is playing it as recorded and without losing the groove over the full duration of the song. hence the meaning of the song's name
MIght interest you to learn that the company still make this style of double pedals today; the drummer from Living Colour's a long-time user of their pedals, and even Roger Taylor played Sleishman kits from time to time.

I met Don sleishman numerous times, he is from my hometown and as a drummer, I loved sleishman drums and always used the 13” snare in the studio, that thing was loud. I NEVER KNEW SLEISHMAN INVENTED THE DOUBLE KICK.

This drum layout is so fun to play. I first saw it from Travis Orbin many many moons ago. He refers to it as a "quasi open-stance" setup which makes for some awesome open-handed/foot possibilities!

I LOVE the idea of the two hi-hats side by side! It kinda gives off triplet hi-hat vibes and I feel like it would be a perfect setup because you could really use the floor Tom to your advantage and really switch things up by using those hi hats in the same way as a double bass kit!
I'm always in awe of your drumming, but I absolutely think Dan's guitar work on all your stuff is epic

Get an Offset pedal dude
I've always loved this idea for a double-pedal kit. I played a Frankensteiner pedal back in the day, and loved having the snare dead center of the bass. It was a hand-made pedal kit and it took little getting used too, but loved being center of the kit instead of staring off to the left side.
This is awesome! Wild you got to play with that thing!!

Yea dude it’s insane really
I had the pleasure of playing this very same double pedal setup. the Band Living Colours drummer Wil Calhoun is well known for playing this double pedal setup. in fact when I played this double pedal it was on Wil Calhouns drum set at the time he asked me to play it for him so he could see how his drumset sounded in the audience seats. So much fun to play!!

What’s amazing is that they still make these and Living Colour’s drummer swears by them! Love the concept of having a right side hi-hat ever since I saw Thomas Lang do the same.
What a mental stuff mate. This is simply insane . Congratulations for your talent you really beat it.
This design makes so much more sense than what we have been using for decades! Anyone who has had a the slave pedal disconnect during a gig and one of the bolts that screw in the connecting axel going missing knows true pain.
