The first powerboat I was on when I was a kid was a 32' Baja with blown 502's in it, reminds me alot of your boat, very cool!

117 in that boat is very impressive. they are known to be slow without huge HP. My buddy has one with twin 525s and it barely does 70

This last year it went 118 mph in the 3/4 mile shootout at LOTO. We are hoping for 120+ MPH with the small changes that have been made for this 2022 shootout event.

If the 525s dont have giant superchargers on them then 525 hp is super super low but if the engines are blown to 790-850 there faster like 95

Nice custom boat/engine package. The top end speed is extremely impressive for a Baja non-stepped hull. We wish you safe boating and longevity with the bravo outdrives.

When the throttles go down, it honestly feels like a low 11 second car trying to run the 1/4 mile. Well frankly 2 years ago it went 117mph in 3/4 of a mile at the shootout. I can't imagine what it would do on calm salt water and more room. :)

Very cool boat. Must be awesome to own. Looks like there are more than a few boats running Hp's on those waters. Perfectly understandable that the residents do not want all the noise at night.

I did not know there was a night time noise limit, just the 30MPH NT speed limit. Very cool boat and I think it sounds pretty good. Evidently, Mr WP Officer has not been near my house during the evening of the Shootout to hear some of the un-corked headers running all week long !!

Cops are muscle car and power boat fans too! I have a blown big block old chevy truck with 3" straight pipes off the headers. I get a warning every time, after they tell me how badass it sounds ;) Been pulled over at least 20 times in 4 years... never added mufflers yet!

why does it sound like theres close to 3000 horse power there at idle, holy mother of all things that float, you need to head north east to the candaian shores man, theres tones of inlets adn secluded bays to kick back on, that would be next level to head out to where the family is from, the 2 hour haul be 25 mins. stay safe at those speeds anything is possible

That's pretty loud and sound carries over water. I guess that would be a little annoying late in the evening, but it's still nothing compared to the Top Fuel Drag Boats. Those things will set off every car alarm within a 1/4 mile radius. They run 8k-10k HP and run off of Nitro Methane. Just standing next to one warming up in the pit area gave me a HUGE adrenaline rush.

I would never want a baja to have that much power. Sounds beautiful tho!!!

I agree. 117 is nothing crazy but I just dont think baja had that in mind. Those are the every mans offshore but really a lake boat. Not to take anything from it cause it looks good and sounds way better than that.

Rhett H - At those speeds, ABSOLUTELY!!! Even half that speed it is wise. The water can be quite unpredictable at times and so can other boat pilots.

Met a guy on the river last weekend who had a boat just like this, but in different colors. He got it up to 102 mph on the Rock river... just look up the rock river in Rockford, IL on google maps and you'll see how tiny the river is😂
