So much respect for you, Brian. People assume, because of your size and strength, that you can just pick up anything at any moment. They don't understand what it takes - your effort, your preparation, your training. This idea that you're a "sideshow act" or a "circus freak" because of what you do professionally is an insult to you and your craft. Good job putting your foot down.

I’m a small guy, but I understand what warming up is obviously, most people do. When I was younger I wasn’t going to go out and pitch an important baseball game without throwing a ball. I wouldn’t try to hit a handrail without skating for hours. I wouldn’t go out to the pit and try to clear the biggest jump without riding for a while, etc. I can extrapolate that even to Brian’s level of lifting, even though I’m not a big weight lifter.

Brandon Spicer first of all, it was closer to 900, second, strongmen do not regularly lift that weight all the time, do you not understand what strength peaking is? Third, with no warmup, stretching, or prep it is incredibly dangerous. Go and pretend like you know things somewhere else
@thomasdoan5913
5 жыл бұрын
Brandon Spicer you don’t understand how to deadlift, It’s as simple as that, lolol. Come back when you can just go up after some stretching and bang out a 900 pound deadlift. Or even just whatever your PB is. If your capable of doing that, you have very low deadlift numbers. They had 5-10 minutes to jump up plate by plate. You don’t jump 200 pounds every lift for a warm up for what is an awkward, and heavy lift. If you still believe this is a simple “2 second lift” you don’t understand strongman, strength training, or quite honestly deadlifting over 225. I’m not gonna explain this anymore.
@thomasdoan5913

Brandon Spicer mate you have no clue what you're on about. If Eddie was still competing he would definitely complain. It isn't just "picking up potato chips" it's 900 pound and to warm up for that weight they do deadlifts starting light and progressing the weight and that can take some time. He could walk up and deadlift it with no warm up or a short warm up and risk injuring his back and that wouldn't be smart would it. Like the other guy said you haven't got a clue. You have probably never deadlifted in your life and think there's no risk. Deadlifts no matter what the weight are risky.

Unfortunately it's not uncommon for some producers to change things the way they did, not realizing you four need time to warm up properly. With live TV, of course there's a schedule they have to stick too. But, they really should have told you to be there early enough to be camera ready, which in this case also warmed up and have stretched enough. I'm glad everyone was ok!

- Hey guys, I need you to flip a car. - Sure! - Ok, see you downstairs in 5 minutes. Kind of disrespectful... Still, congratulations guys!! Keep up the great work you've been doing.
Wow this really shows the lack of understanding people have for strength sports! 15mins to warm up is OBSCENE! Massive respect to you and the guys for just getting on with it. Such a huge admirer of your commitment and attitude. Thank you for your regular uploads 🙏🏻

Only 15 mins to get ready! It takes you 2hrs to change a shirt according to Eddy. 🤣

Me too, I've seen the videos before this when they were testing out the car weight and stuff but it's like I didn't hear when they were going to do this. This was all but 2 train rides of like 45 minutes in total away from me.

These schedules and people who set this up honestly need to pull their heads out from whatever pile of papers and actually think these things through. Kudos to you for laying down what was really going to happen. Edit: This is what happens when they get to used to how their own industry works with no regards to anything else.

Bernardo Montes de Oca Soooooooo what about the other three? Brian talked about himself as if three other guys didn't have the same timeframe. Though I do get that Brian was the only one deadlifting the car, still though...
Bringing strongman to mainstream! Glad seeing this 4 doing their thing 💪🏼😁
We just aint gonna talk about how she did the hand motion for deadlift🤣🤣
I'm glad Brian Eddie Nick and Robert got to do this! Very inspirational.
I'm already addicted to the show. You guys and history channel did great.

So amazing to see Strongman gaining so much more traction in the media. Brian, you have had a tremendous impact on the interest in strongman from average Americans like me. The new attention from the media and money flowing in will hopefully attract more young men to the sport so we can set bigger and better records in the future!
Great Job Adjusting To Bad Circumstances. Big Fan. Love All You Guys👍
Great content as usual Brian keep up the great work!
Definitely going to be watching every week. The feats you guys accomplish are absolutely incredible.
I love these videos! Being able to see all you guys behind the scenes sheds a whole new light on Strongmen! The Humor you guys bring is the best!! Keep the content coming!
I love these videos that Brian, Nick, Eddie, and Robert put out. Strongmen content is coming in frequently and I can't get enough. Thank you to the Cameramen/Camerawomen who help put out this amazing content and to the strongmen for motivating all of us, also for creating this vivid and eye opening content into your amazingly strong lives.
