End of the day, I think WSM is becoming more open to doing more real-time stuff but is also realising that you can't actually sustain a big, multi-person business on youtube and social media for a single competition. For athletes or personalities like Loz they sustain their output based on doing a bunch of other comps, training vids, etc. All while supporting essentially one person or one family. For WSM it would require a huge extra effort with multiple people all for no guaranteed wins. Rogue manages it cause it sells gear.

Yeah the individual ones just dragged on for too long, i lost interest after like 4 of them apart from the big names

When will we see the SQUAT again ?? I know today's guys are weaker in this event but that's not a reason to get rid of it. I wasn't in the finals for ages !

Thank you both for providing so much WSM coverage. I can’t believe that, yet again, WSM won’t have a live stream. I actively want to support it and they make it impossible. It’s 2024, no one wants to wait to see it streamed on Peacock. I’m subscribed to Peacock, just let me watch it live, or pay extra to do so. I don’t understand why those in charge are stuck in the past. This is why Brian’s Shaw Classic is going to become the premier Strongman event. Anyway, thank you for all the coverage and can’t wait to see the daily wrap ups!

One thing about Tom in the stone off, I don't think the stones fatigue him nearly as much as anyone else so even if he does have a gruelling stone off I don't think it will affect his performance in the finals like it would for a lot of guys

Last year WSM was pretty exciting for me as I got to attend in person. Not going this year, so not remotely as interested without a way to watch live or close to live. I really do think Strongest Man on Earth and Rogue are leaving WSM in the dust as far as the core strongman fanbase.

Finally, time for the 4th biggest show of the year!!!

Off topic but they should make a OSG group with the 5 guys and former winner remick.

For axle press, are athletes allowed to get the weight up above their head through any means necessary as long as it doesn't rest on one's belt? For example, could someone steinborn squat the weight up, then do a squat jerk similar to the flinstone press from WSM 2022?

Hey guys, did you know that WSM hasn't posted much on social? Don't know if anyone has mentioned that so figure I would be the first

The hype and publicity for WSM will happen 6 months after WSM. The week before it is broadcast (U.K.) It’s their show so, publicity is up to them. As far as they are concerned it happens at Christmas. So they’ll do publicity then. That’s just how it is.

I am wondering if WSM keeps delaying the group announcement bc someone might drop out last minute

Thor is coming back fast, but imo he will not be back enough to win one of the big 4 contests until The Strongest Man on Earth. He just needs the time and needed the first comps to get back into it.

I think it was aired in the US last July. But I couldn't figure out how to watch it. I subscribed to Paramount (+?) because it was suppose to air there but never found it. I think it airs a a specific time and that's it. WSM sucks for this. They need to figure out how to stream it. If people in the UK want to watch it at Christmas they can, but why can't I pay to stream it live?

I think Tom just makes sure to be at least third in the group because stones mean nothing to him. It really doesn't seem like the idea of winning a group matters to him at all.
