World's No.1 Thiamine Expert Dr Derrick Lonsdale: Rest in Peace
In this video we honor the life and legacy of Dr Derrick Lonsdale, internationally renowned expert in vitamin B1 and pioneer of high dose B1 therapy.
Sadly, Lonsdale passed away on May 2nd, 2024. He lived a long and fruitful life up until the age of 100 years old. Remarkably, he continued his research and writing well into his 90s.
Although I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, I was fortunate enough to communicate with him via email. He shared many precious insights, and I can safely say I would not be doing what I am doing today if it were not for him.
Rest in peace, Dr Lonsdale!

I had the privilege of going to Dr. Lonsdale in 1984 when he was working in Fairview Ohio. He pumped me full of vitamins but especially B1 and turned my life around for 10 years and gave me enough health to carry a daughter. He was fantastic and extremely caring. ...Sue from Arizona
If anyone has carried the torch he lit, it is Elliot Overton, thank you for this tribute to Dr. Lonsdale. 👍♥️
That was a very touching tribute 😢
Elliot Overton is the main successor of Dr. Lonsdale. Thank you for spreading this knowledge.

What a wonderful man and a pioneer, thanks for bringing his work to light.
RIP Dr Lonsdale .. 🤎 .. and thank you.
These are ppl, who are real gems humanity has produced
R.I.P. Dr. Derrick Lonsdale. Your contributions to the medical field will always be remembered.
He was ahead of the game, god bless and rest in peace Dr Derrick Londsdale. 🕊️
Thank you Dr. Lonsdale for your life's work.... RIP. Also thank you Elliot for spreading his work; the Lonsdale protocol has been a game changer for me with CFS. It's made a massive difference. I told my doctor about him and she has placed another CFS patient on the protocol. So as long as we keep talking about B1, the more people will benefit.

@@downunder1988 you build up bit by bit with the B1. If you look at Elliott's video on how to use it I would suggest adding one at a time. The one frustrating issue is as you increase dosage, you do have worse symptoms for about a week - for myself anyway. I believe everyone is different and it can be anything from a few days to a month. One thing I've noticed with myself at least, if you miss a day the fatigue hits again when resuming. I find that frustrating and it has stopped me going past 1100mg per day. If you have brain fog or general memory loss the bebfotiamine is better for that, but the TTFD is great for the general fatigue. I take CoQ10 150mg twice daily as well. Make sure you take a high quality multi B as well otherwise your B's will get out of balance plus a multi mineral is essential. The videos on the subject are very informative and clear. Hope this helps. Also if you can afford it, amino acids are very beneficial. One thing: there isn't any one "fix". All the nutrients add up to giving you some quality of life. I've tried LDN but my liver reacts badly after a few days...pain and nausea. I do take it for a few days periodically if I go into a dip and can't get out .. usually stress triggers it with me. Best of luck.
My husband is no longer on any insulin or diabetic medicine thanks to you. You are a worthy apprentice of a great man God bless

Wow, so the lack of oxygen in the blood is due to low thiamine, where the mitochondria lacks the 'energy' to create oxygen for the blood. I am taking 100mg thiamine, 1000mg magnesium glycinate and a good multivitamin. Thank you Jesus for the integrity of old school doctors. 🙏

I've been using thiamine at times 1500 mg for a few months at a time as well as 300mg of benfotamine. Its important considering I was Literally eating 1 + cups of sugar a day as a kid (I was unattended) . My Mom didn't do me a favor teaching me how to make cookies at the age of 6. At 8 years old I had my own brownie recipe. By God's grace I am still kicking. My I also suggest Dr Brownstein for iodine Dr Carolyn Dean for magnesium and most importantly Morley Robbins for Copper. Keep searching good info is still out there.
RIP❤ what a wonderful doctor. Helped various heart issues I was experiencing

Thank you for your service to humanity Dr. Lonsdale. Indeed a legend, may he rest in peace. 💐
Awwww, he made to 100 that's awesome, RIP 🙏. Thank you Elliot for all you inform us on, thank you for helping us, you don't know how much you've helped me to breathe again. God bless you 🙏 ❤
RIP and thank you for communicating and carrying forward his legacy so effectively
Elliot, thank you for posting this video. I have learned much from from Dr Lonsdale and Dr Marrs book. I have learned so much from you. The baton has been passed. Keep up the great work of educating us about thiamine.

Very fitting tribute. I have personally benefitted from his work.
Rest in Peace, Dr Lonsdale! ❤🙏
Marvelous tribute Elliot! Thank you for passing on the information he developed. I have had brain fog for over a year as part of my developing SIBO. Although I made progress with my SIBO via diet, probiotics and prokinetic, my brain fog/irritation has persisted. I have started (based on your provided info) magnesium and thiamine supplementation at a reduced level so far for 3 days and have already experienced improvement. It makes me hopeful for full recovery over time as I increase the dosage.
That was wonderful. Thank you for sharing this story
Such an amazing contribution to the nutritional world. Thank you for sharing. Please carry on his legacy 🙏
Legend 🙏 RIP
His work has blessed our family. My son, my daughter, and I have all benefited from his work.❤
Thank you so much for all that you did, Dr. Lonsdale. May you rest in peace. And thank you so much Elliot Overton for educating me via your channel on the importance of Thiamine. I had vestibular issues back in May of 2019. The constant dizziness, neck pain, vision issues, brain fog and walking imbalance was a nightmare. I started taking niacin and gradually thiamine along with many others vitamins that I HAVE TO DEPEND ON to function on a healthy level. I am now so much better that I can lift weights at the gym and ohboiii... I can now ride like the wind during spinning classes! REALL,Y TRULY, SINCERELY, GRATEFUL THAT I FOUND OUT ABOUT VITAMIN B1.
Beautiful tribute to a great man. R.I.P Dr. Longsdale
How wonderful to live to such an age and have no regrets. His knowledge has certainly helped me via Elliott.

Very touching and beautiful tribute, I bet this wasn’t the easiest video to make Elliot. Thank you for sharing and continuing Dr.Londales work 🙏🏻
I only learned about thiamine deficiency last weekend. As it could be the missing link to my healing journey and why it is taking so long and everything i try has no or minimal results. I feel thankfull that the doctor dedicated his life to this work and kept spreading his knowledge as long as he could. Thank you Elliot, for continuing this work, and thank you for this wonderful remembrance of the doctor. 🙏🏼 🕯
Thank you for sharing this tribute to Dr. Lonesdale.

Beautiful tribute to a legend of a man. Thank you Elliot
Back in 2018 i have him a call to thank him so much for all his work, and wrote to him often, will miss him very much, I wanted to record a podcast with him back then but his hearing wasn’t the best so we corresponded by email. I did my own podcast with him via other interviews his did that was very poor sounding and cleaned up the audio. Great man, glad you also got on the thiamine train and enjoyed out interview we did together Elliot.
So long doc! Thank you for all your work!
Lovely tribute-well deserved. Thanks for carrying the torch
I saw a YT video with Dr. Lonsdale years ago. I was already getting IV magnesium and I mentioned that video to my doctor and soon had IV thiamine too. I get little benefit taking these by mouth because my intestines dissected years ago and I had to have the ileocecal valve removed to save my life. I won’t absorb much by mouth. Thanks for this Elliot.
What a precious video; a lovely tribute. Thank you for carrying forward this incredible gentleman’s work. What an inspiration he must be to you.
May God receive his soul 🙏 ❤️ God bless you for all you do help us. May you continue to help us. Thank you.

Is nutritional yeast a good source as a food product alternative option? Also 100 years old! Very impressive. Sad but he lived a long full life.
@erickaepworth6257

Nutritional Yeast is a manufactured food. That being said, purchase NON-FORTIFIED nutritional yeast. Fortified nutritional yeast contains synthetically produced b vitamins that can cause damage to our DNA or simply cannot be broken down and utilized by our bodies. That's a really simplified answer.
RIP ❤
Excellent information!! Thank you.

Thank you Dr Lonsdale for all your work. For work surrounding vitamin B3 Dr Abram Hoffer would have to be the leader.
Thank you for introducing me to this pioneer. I'd never heard of his work, sadly.
What an absolute legend. I never forgot his name and work thanks to you bringing his work to todays health world and making a lot of us aware of it
Long time waiting for a new video
Dr Lonsdale's book is one of the very best I have ever read for health. His views on Beri Beri and explanations were fascinating. Back in the day, before the medical industry was taken over by pharmaceutical companies, they did feeding studies. They understood scurvy, rickets, Pellagra, Beri Beri etc. We would have learned so much more had toxic medications not bullied all that out of the way. I will always appreciate what I learned from Dr Lonsdale and Chandler Marrs PhD. They are a true treasure.
🙏
