Great video! and what i loved the most was the detailed explanation of the launcher! Most youtubers think that what's important is always the end product, but we as engineers, we really care about the engineering and the design behind it so we can learn stuff while enjoying the video and what you're doing! Thanks for that and please keep this up as it makes the videos 100 times better when we understand what's going on!

This was THE most fun to watch hacksmith video! Charles did an incredible job and the formatting and technical explanations had me interested to re-watch to learn more!

Did you ever think of making the projectiles out of Pycrete ice? Might help with the breaking up in the barrel issue.

I think its important to note that the munition was the weak link in this video, if you change the munition from ice to metal you would get an even more dangerous weapon out of this build. Would be interested how thick of a steel plate it could punch through

Christ that'd just be so OP. A bit of depleted uranium armour plating around the roll cage and that thing would be a fully armoured sci-fi mech suit at that point.

I FULLYYYYYY understand Charles' happiness in this video. Throughout the course of my life I've made a few completely deadly airguns (including a vortex gun that shoots over 10,000 rounds per minute) and yep... that feeling you get when it's done and blow something to a million pieces with it is something special XD

It probably does, as it's just an over engineered potato cannon so it should launch anything that fits in the barrel I'm sad they didn't actually try it on video though

I loved the detailed explanations of the engineering concepts-please incorporate these into all of your videos! They make the video not only entertaining but also educational :)

The master plan seems to be certainly on point so far, keep up the great and entertaining work.

I like the fast flow valve design, the machining, and the laser cutting

I'd say this definitely up there with one of the cooler builds you've done

If you ever gonna make a V2 of this, you could try to get closer to the original by actually using snow - compressed into the right shape and density by using some of the air pressure. Imagine, you fill in some snow, press a button/lever that compresses the snow into essentially ice projectiles - and boom, you got yourself an unlimited ammo cheat code during winter😎 That said, the existing build is far better than what Epic Games puts into their game every winter😅

Really nice job explaining how it works, showing the build, and showing a pretty comprehensive test, all in 18 minutes.

Now what you need to do is to challenge mark Roger with his machine snow gun.

In a way, yes.

Something you should build is the mask and sword from dishonored, I know it’s not a huge project like your always doing now, but it would be a sick thing to have a folding sword and a mask that can zoom in.

I can think of a few people who would want this thing. 1. Villain/ Super Villain "Think of all the unexplained killings we could get away with, i will take 1 no make it 2." Think HISHE Ant Man. 2. The C.i.A "Think of all the unexplained killings we could get away with"

By the current laws on the book that is 100% considered a firearm and a prohibited one at that since the bore diameter is over 20mm.

The firing sound it makes is actually legendary. It sounds like a genuine fantasy weapon.

You know shit's crazy when the IRL version is more dangerous than the in-game one. For extra accuracy you could either rifling in the barrel or a rifled ice slug. A cardboard sabot might help protect the ice as it flies down the barrel so it doesn't disintegrate, or at least keeps better groupings.

Id be awesome to see some God of War weapons or something from you guys

Or rework it in a way. It would be a rocket launcher at low pressure, and a high damage shotgun at high pressure.

This is one of the coolest projects on the channel! It's not only super fun and dangerous, but I also learned how really fast valves work!

Maybe for a 2.0 version, replace some parts with plastic to lighten the weight.
