Kev you can get MUCH hotter than the reaper, what they do is extract the pure capsacicin from the chilli and use that as a liquid or powder in things, WAYYYY hotter. The one chip challenge is much hotter because it uses extract on the chip. Dried reapers can be anything from 1.2 Million - 2.2 Million scoville units of heat, the hottest extract possible is pure capsacicin crystals which are 16 Million scovile units. Dried peppers usually tend to be a little bit milder than fresh peppers. If you want recomendations of what to try next thats hotter, let me know. Im a chilli head, I know a lot about these things.

Reapers are the hottest chili, but you can extract the capsaicin and make something much hotter. I did the Lil Nitro and it’s 9M scoville.

The bad bit is the white spongy bit is the hottest part, the seeds dont contain any heat, thats just a misnomer, its the white part the seeds are attached to thats the hot part, but all the parts contain heat to an extent. There is just more in the placenta.

Never tried the Carolina Reapers, I have some ghost peppers in my freezer, they are hot enough that they will probably STAY in the freezer forever. "probably not going to be that bad"......famous last words. lol The way you do a pepper challenge is put a whole pepper in your mouths and start chewing, first to spit it out loses, fun part is the delay, by the time you spit it out.....it is tooooooooo late.

Ghost chilli is about 1 quarter as hot, they are relatively mild compared to reapers. However there are much hotter things out there.
