I like how you pay respect to the old records that would become obsolete with new shortcut discoveries. It gives a complete layman like me a sense of understanding what the goal used to be and how the goalposts were moved as time went on. You also have a nice voice and you are a great storyteller. I found you when you speedran Trackmania on AGDQ and I was baffled how you fluently you narrated your run in what I assume is your second language. I know next to nothing about Trackmania. I dont plan on ever playing this game, much less speedrunning it, but your narrations have me captivated.

I stopped playing when I realised the records were being manipulated somehow. While not cheating, I still think a player should use all of the track. Cuts like these wouldn’t be kosher in motor racing (flying cars aside). Enjoying the videos none the less.

Videos like this are extremely important. There's only ever one world record holder per track and it won't even last forever, yet the work put in by the entire community - finding new strategies and refining old ones - is what makes this amazing. They may not hold the records, but there efforts need to be recorded for context.

@@chriswelcome8102 To my knowledge pretty much all of the cheating related stuff came from game slowdown, which really wouldn't do you much help here. Things like save states are easily detectable by the game so cheating in that way wasn't really part of the scandal.

@@chriswelcome8102 I mean with how little this bug seems to be understood, it's agreed to be almost entirely random? So unless these players know something we don't and are deliberately withholding it, slowing down the game shouldn't really substantially help them, it would just make the time to retry these takes longer.

Hefest is just an absolute unit of a human being. A machine. A terminator. How does he pull it off? In every video about some insane or "impossible" WR, Hefest just comes in at the end and took it personally, that he wasn't the one holding the WR at the time. Holy mother of cow.

I think A12 is the most miraculous map of Trackmania history. Each player that has ever hunted this map has a need to to keep trying to surprise the community with another impossible record. Since the uberbug came, I"ve been hunting the map for hours just to prove that 8-9xx is possible. Well hefest run is almost pure perfection but i still believe we will see a 9.xx one day. @@SCDJMU The "Summoning Salt and EmpLemon music" is actually a track named "We're finally landing" by Home. To be more precise, it's the first track of Home's album "Before the Night". The artist itself (Home) released a part of his own music also on KZread Music Library so that content creators can use his tracks into their videos. Given the high quality of his music, this is no less than a gift for us all, not only for content creators.

I had never even heard of trackmania before coming across your videos. Not only have i binge watched almost all of your videos by now, but have a new found respect for trackmania players. Y'all seem like a very devoted and great community! And you're doing a great job bringing more attention to this game

This kind of video are amazing! I don't play TM but I love the speedrunning, and I think the most passionnating thing is to understand how bug are descovered and optimization are improved. You describe so perfectly the races that even a newbie understood the hype of each new path and each new strategy. Each facts are clear and the timeline is very understandable. It beautiful to see how tons of players gives their best to always discover incredible things and your videos are amazingly respectful of each those players. Keep going like this! It's incredible.

Ross's TM2C theory - an AI was made to test cars. It designed these tracks and runs the cars. It went rogue and killed off humanity so it could test cars without them trying to intervene.

I stopped played TM years ago. Yet I'm here, enjoying each and every of the videos on that channel. Thank you, Wirtual! You've made my TM-nostalgia-song playing again and again in my soul, like Lowko did same with SC2 :D

You are one hell of a story teller. I had no idea about this game this morning and now have watched a bunch of videos like it’s must see tv.

I've been playing Trackmania for about 10 years now, I found it in the time shortly after my girlfriend passed away and played it in the coming years as a method of coping. When I began playing the game, I was expecting it to have a pretty low player count on account of the fact that I'd never heard of it before. Boy, I could not have been more wrong. I had no idea such a huge niche community was hiding in plain sight. I realize I'm new to the series, much newer than most other players, but everyone I meet in TM is so friendly and I'm grateful to have a game where I can just join a server and chat instead of needling to perform up to expectations. It's refreshing to play a game where people only help me if they see me struggling instead of trying to work against me. Thanks for making these videos, and thank you, TM community, for being so kind to me.

It's incredible to see the evolution of the records, at every record, you think you've reached the max. So satisfying to watch !

I could literally watch your videos the whole day, loving the history part of you explaining! And considering the fact that a few hours ago, I didn’t even know about this game!

your story telling is amazing. im so invested in the history of this game and how it feels so ancient in lore and history the way you tell it. its amazing. i dont even play this game

Hahaha, that online reaction of Hefest was awesome! He has so many records on Nadeo tracks already, so it's actually a bit ironic that he got this one as well, given how much luck is required. Judging from the sound the car makes, it seems he's accelerating mid-air almost continuously towards the closest finish, meaning this record is almost impossible to beat. You'd basically have to accelerate right after the jump and hope you're going into the right direction. Anyway, lovely to see the history of the WR pursuit on this track. Thanks, Wirtual. :)

Trinity spent 1,7% of his time for 4 years to achieve his record. The amount of time he spent on A12 almost as much as I've spent total on TMNF, absolutely insane lol.

Wirtual, I haven't played this game for more than 10 years, am a grownup now. And still, when I see your video being posted, my heart races just to see it. The quality of naration, the entertainment you bring to the trackmania community and wider, being responsible for the game to be recognized among new generations is just mind blowing.

I love your history lessons, this is what makes older games the greatest :D

It’s amazing seeing how people find ways to improve a track to the very millisecond in these videos. It’s also interesting watching how the game has evolved over time even if new bugs are found.

Since Tortugo is now a fulltime tiktok influencer, depending on who you are, you might be a fan of his funny videos or just dislike him and find his content cringeworthy. Personally I don't really care about him tbh.
