I lost my wife to cancer 8 years ago and have suffered in silence with all the mental issues it causes . ive just watched the 3 seasons of Afterlife and it helped me bring out all the built up feelings and emotions that i struggled to do 8years ago . The most beautiful story ive ever watched . I cried and laughed at the same time . love your work Ricky . x

@@oscarholmes1069 That's not because Steve isn't talented and doesn't have fantastic chemistry with Ricky. Bar Ricky and Karl Pilkington, his and Ricky's chemistry is the greatest for each. They simply don't have the same desires anymore. There's an interview on KZread with Ricky, Steve, and Karl in which Ricky says that he wants to do more podcasts, Steve wants to do "more proper stuff, like The Office", and Karl doesn't want to do any more podcasts because he's already done them.

I just sat and watched the entire season last night. I lost someone dear to me few years back, i lived last few years weeping and in depression and not caring much for anything and anyone and i have lost that interest to get along and move forward. I was not even seeking help and i was lonely and somehow deep down i felt miserable about what i did and how i did. I cannot thank Ricky enough for writing and making this, deep down we are there in every character this series has, We are one Kathy, we are one brain, we are the postman. The ending of Season 3 was indeed changed my perspective. Live, be good and kind. Thank you Ricky and everyone involved in the making.

It is disappointing to know that raw, honest and heartfelt shows are close to extinction. Then I see this, and it makes my day. A remarkable piece of work. Excited for this season.

Its so close to my own life, its unreal!!! I thought that the first Series was so brilliant 😁, but the second and the third were amazingly BRILLIANT, AWARD WINNING PICE OF ART. I was on a roller coaster of emotions, from sad, happy to crying to suicidal (I'm good don't panic), to laughing with joy, then crying with happiness then crying from being sad and depressed... Ricky Gervase, I'm just a working class man, and I really hope you keep up your amazingly brilliant art. That means so much to me and millions of other people like all the cast members out there. He is the frog, because even in his deepest darkest moments he will still help others , he puts himself to one side. ITS ART IN ITS BEST FORM!! "REAL LIFE"...

So sad this is the last season. This series was incredible. I lost my wife of 10 years in 2014. She was 37. I could relate soooo much to this story. Thank you Ricky

What an amazing show. heartfelt but seriously funny

Just watched after life 3, absolutely loved it. Such a tough subject to us all , it touches you on so many levels. Glad i watched it on my own though. I'm a 63 year old ' hairy arsed truck driver and blubbed like a 3 year old. Thank you Ricky and all your team for making us really feel emotional and happy at the same time.

Highly recommend you look into the friendship between Gervais and Jimmy Savile, UKs' most prolific child predator. Here's a hint forward for you; they were good friends.

This big rough trucker laughed till he cried .and sobbed like a baby at this Ricky Gervais you are bloody genius. Watching this broke my heart ❤.

It hasn't depressed me, I was already depressed, losing a partner to cancer does that... This show has broke me. By that i mean made me very emotional... I think it's helped kick the mourning process, I've been stuck in a rutt... Yesterday i posted a thankyou on twitter, today the responses and love i received was amazing

Of course it has some funny bits but overall it is a very poor, ridiculous, easy, lazy effort. People fall for it and I really don't understand why. It's cheesy, cringe and predictable.

Can’t wait for Tmw. The release comes on the 1st anniversary of my moms passing away last year. After Life really helped me when she left me suddenly last year. Thank you. I am sure this new season will be helpful Tmw. ❤️

I lost my mum at a young age, I was young and she was young. Grief never really goes away completely but it does become easier to cope with. I would say it also strengthens your character with a deeper sense of compassion for the wellbeing of others. This series is a comedy masterpiece like no other. I've never laughed so hard one minute and then felt the overwhelming, unbearable emotional pain in some of Ricky's scenes the next.

Was never really a big fan of Ricky's on till I watched this series.. Absolutely brilliant. Laughed and cried a lot. He's a genius..

Watching this show is like coming back from summer vacation and meeting your loved ones.

Watched the entire season in one go. Brilliant. Beautiful. Tears...

Thanks for lightening up my day Ricky! Can’t wait to watch the rest!

Love the 10cc song. Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, Lol Creme and the fabulous Graham Gouldman without doubt one of the best bands I have ever seen.

Laughs, sadness, regrets and love. Just real life (Afterlife) really. Going to binge on this. Ricky's character development gets better with each series. You really care about them. The cast is perfect. The last few minutes of season 2 brought me to tears. Don't ever stop! Now this has ended, I'm looking forward to whatever else is floating around in that brain of his.

Thank you Mr. Gervais. I started watching your series while looking for something to make me laugh and bring up my spirits. It was not what I expected. My wife of 40 years passed away June 25th 2021and I'm still in that void. Not one day has gone by that I haven't sat crying, thinking about ending it all. I just finished season 3 and "After Life" has changed my thinking for the better. If I pull through this, I want you to know that you played a major part in bringing me out of that void. Again, I thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Can't wait to watch it tomorrow!! So excited!! One of the best shows ever made.

No spoilers, I binged the entire season 3, and had to stay up extra late as I had had to recover from the ending. I went through half a box of tissues 🥲. While it wasn’t the end I had hoped for, it was all very well done. You’re an excellent writer and actor Ricky, such real feelings, emotions. I truly loved Afterlife, all 3 seasons, it has been a rarity to have something like that to look forward to. I look forward to your next project, because whatever it will be, will whether comedy or bittersweet as this was, will be the absolute best, a gift. God bless you and yours, Ricky. Thank you.

I lost my husband and recently went through my own breast cancer ordeal - double mastectomy & months and months of chemo, so this show seemed as though it was made just for me. I can't thank Ricky Gervais enough for taking me along on Tony's journey through it all. I love the message it gives also. To just be kind. We're all here going through something and should treat others as we'd like to be treated.

Just finished binge watching series three of After Life, and it was every bit as brilliant, funny, touching and sad as the other two. The saddest part is that there'll not be another series. I've never been a fan of Ricky Gervais but After Life is pure genius. Such clever writing resulting in every emotion from laughter to messy, snot laden sobbing. I binge watched the previous 2 series very recently for the first time and was profoundly moved. Can't wait for this series.

I watched series 3 yesterday and it was very good. For a comedian, he certainly writes some deep stuff. My daughter complained that the episodes are not long enough and that there aren't enough of them. Which is clearly what they meant when they said, always leave your audience wanting more.
