Make sure you are routing the belt right….. it may have a twist when it comes off the trans in the back under the seat

I'm pretty sure that's what got me. I had the belt going around the Idler pulley the wrong way. I also believe I had it correct the first day and changed which side I had it on which is what messed me up. Yea I was looking at that arm and spring, I thought it looked odd at first too, but evidently it was correct, also the arm itself has a little play, not a huge fan of that, but it's got a grease fitting at the beginning, so I also think that's okay. Lastly I took that pulley off. It could use a new one, it squeaks, I have a plastic one from a Craftsman same size I can use or get a new one, however when I cut ✂️ with it originally it was fine, all coming back to routing of belt 🤷🏻‍♂️.

It didnt even need that, all it did was remove the slightest bit of slap. The hole at the end of the rod was wallowed out and had excessive play. Only way to really coreect that is new arm but it really didnt need it.
