WOOTZ steel from rusty springs-Forging a WAKIZASHI sword
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, we will melt rusty springs into wootz steel. Then we will show the forging of the wakizashi sword. A lot of work was done for this project, we made a bigger crucible than ever before. The crucible was larger, and it was not easy to forge. The wakizashi sword itself is longer than a regular tanto, so the locksmithing took twice as long . On the vakizashi sword we decided to put a carbon hilt.At the end of the video you can see a brief overview of the vakizashi sword, it is made from original materials. If you liked the video, like, like, comment, do not forget to share with friends. Thank you all for watching.

There's something very interesting about watching those impurities flake off the surface of the steel as it becomes pure. Amazing.
It's just captivating to watch this guy do his magic from start on rusty pieces of metal to finish holding shiny gleaming pieces of work of art in form of knives.
This is not only a beautiful weapon, it's also a work of art.

That is amazing! That also looked like an unbelievable amount of work! I have always wanted to see a larger wootz blade on your channel - the outcome is so impressive and of course that includes the handle. It would be really interesting to know what the properties of your wootz steel are like - the history and mystery around wootz is just so deep. I also wish I understood more of the steps in your technique - I mean aside from the secret recipe of course! Thank you for adding those captions!
All I can say is “😳👍🏼WOW!!!”
I wasn't sure at first about the carbon fiber being used for the guard and habaki, but in the end it turned out beautifully. Nice job.

Amazing!!! Not only great craftsmanship but to have to the understanding of your materials to seemingly pull off both 'difficult' and 'lost' arts using modern materials and techniques is just spectacular! Was this 'Wootz' a happy accident or did you know the springs you used had the correct constituents? Maybe I am missing the point..?
