WOOTZ steel from rusty springs-Forging a WAKIZASHI sword

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, we will melt rusty springs into wootz steel. Then we will show the forging of the wakizashi sword. A lot of work was done for this project, we made a bigger crucible than ever before. The crucible was larger, and it was not easy to forge. The wakizashi sword itself is longer than a regular tanto, so the locksmithing took twice as long . On the vakizashi sword we decided to put a carbon hilt.At the end of the video you can see a brief overview of the vakizashi sword, it is made from original materials. If you liked the video, like, like, comment, do not forget to share with friends. Thank you all for watching.

I have always wanted to see a larger wootz blade on your channel - the outcome is so impressive and of course that includes the handle. It would be really interesting to know what the properties of your wootz steel are like - the history and mystery around wootz is just so deep. I also wish I understood more of the steps in your technique - I mean aside from the secret recipe of course! Thank you for adding those captions!

I was unsure about the carbon fiber handle, but you really pulled it off. This sword looks like something Snake Eyes would use. 👌

Então, é muito bom... A gente se diverte bastante forjando alguma coisa. Ainda mais quando ela fica pronta. Eu já chorei quando terminei minha katana

for future reference if you decide to make more japanese inspired weaponry, you should always clay and quench the blade as one of the final steps before polishing and should never sand it afterwards lest you lose your hamon line
