Welcome to this weeks woodturning video:
Woodturning - A Brilliant Idea For Paper & Resin // Woodless Woodturning
In this woodworking video I use a woodturning lathe to turn a blank made with coloured paper and epoxy resin into an ornate high gloss bowl. I feel this video falls into the ASMR and entertainment categories.
If you find these video’s a good source of entertainment, I’d appreciate you like, share and subscribe.
Thanks for watching.

Hi guys.. what you will find here is that those who use a bandsaw a lot don’t saw “use a push stick” because they understand.. and those saying “use a pushstick do not understand bandsaws.. it’s understandable that you think a push stick is the right way. But your not right. Thanks for your concern all the same.

This is a great wood project book kzread.infoUgkxkPIWb22DigCqxmlXerCyUF4HCl6eSU2L . Most of the projects use the pallet simply as a source of reclaimed wood not as a recognizable pallet so even if you didn't have a pallet you could make these projects with any reclaimed (or even new) wood. The instructions are excellent. The style is charming and would work with lots of different decor. There are quite a number of projects that involve tiling of teh wood pieces which is a really cool idea and can produce beautiful pieces when working with aged wood.

As a fellow wood working artist, I was mesmerized by your process and your ability to think outside of the proverbial wood box. While I will continue to pursue my own direction of wood sculpture, I have decided to subscribe to your channel because of your innovative way of creative thinking. Keep up the great work!

It has been said that as we age, our eyesight dims and, as a result, we seek out brighter colors. I am 73, and have perfect eyesight yet am drawn to this beautiful bowl. It brings to mind the colors that have been used by indigenous peoples throughout time.

Wow Jack, you've really out done yourself this time. I can't imagine what you'll think of next which is what I said after the last video. :) You're a cut, I mean you're a "turn" above the rest in my opinion. Very nicely done Jack! I'm glad I found your channel. *God bless.*

Now, when my brother was in elementary school he did a project as a Valentines gift for our mom with red construction paper. He didn’t use resin. Just a thick stack of paper cut into the shape of a heart ❤️. He said he glued each sheet individually like pancakes stacking and stacking. Then when satisfied with the thickness he encased the whole thing with glue. Turned out very hard as paper is wood anyway. Your idea reminds me of that. You are very talented artist.
