In the Bronze Age, the gold leaf would have been super expensive, probably out of the range of most carpenters. A.G.

24 karat Gold leaf is about $15- $20 with shipping for 5 sheets. He used 2 sheets so between $6 and $8 depending where he bought it, and a can of glue that’s able to be used with gold leaf. It is beautiful.
