Woodturning - Banksia Nut to Functional Item

This week’s woodturning video, is all about transforming an Australian banksia nut into a fully functional bottle opener. Infused with vibrant red epoxy resin it was carefully crafted on the woodturning lathe, sanded up to 2000 grit for a very smooth finish and then eventually applied several layers of clear gloss lacquer coat.

When you were threading this I was thinking custom car gear shift or very nice handle. If someone needed a complete set of custom dashboard knobs for their classic car that would be something different and extremely cool. If they would send you the knobs they wanted replicated you would be able to make them fit. Just something different that I haven't seen before. I have a complete restoration of my first Z28 going now but I'm going back all original or we'd be talking. If it wasn't original I'd love to have a dark blue set of these.

I think you will find that the "talking" part of a video is called NARRATION. Ergo a lack of narration on a video cannot effect the quality of it! It's pretty self explanatory to anyone with even a small percentage of a functioning brain, but I'm sure the people in the comment section will be able to talk you through any parts you don't understand 😊
