well that's your opinion, and i respect that, i think pink floyd and jimi hendrix to be ahead of the beatles music, they were real pioneers, not to say the deep meaning of their songs, specially pink floyd, when you listen and understand thei melodies and lyrics, is just transcendental, not saying the beatles are bad or anything, the're one of the greats, just opening my heart here, haha the important thing is, spreading good music around the world and never let them die!

***** Noel always wrote the song first, and then added the riff and the rhythm later. Noel admits that he took stuff from other songs(T-Rex, George Harrison, Coca-Cola Song, etc.). He doesn't cower from it either, he respects it. Wonderwall definitely wasn't stolen from Nirvana, especially since they're like 4 years apart.

***** Dude, i know how to play "Wonderwall" and "Smells like..." and i can tell you there is a completely different pattern of strumming, chords, rythyms, melodies... Even if you change the keys ("Smells like..." is on C# and Wonderwall is on G, i guess), they don't... Get along, if you know what i mean. I never saw an interview about it, so if you could post a link here i'd thank you. But, to be fair and give you some points, "Whatever" really sounds like "How sweet to be and idiot" on the verses and i think it actually was a ripoff.

This is in my opinion the best version of this song

I always thought Dont look back in Anger wouldve been perfect for Liam and Wonderwall perfect for Noel!

I love it how he just sings it exactly like he is alone with his guitar. Doesn't make a difference if an orchestra and a choir is behind of me, or a frenetic audience in front: I just sing the blues, and it is all right.

Brings back memories of my life tonight because I have been thinking about things love all my sons we GRIP son Dad xxxxxx

The orchestra even makes the whole performance more wonderful.

Yoooo..that was BEAUTIFUL. Noel once said that Liam was a great singer and that he never sang the songs the way Noel intended them to be sung. He said something like "I wrote the songs so I know what I was feeling but he'll come in take 10 minutes read the lyrics and sing it in his own way. He never once asked me what was I thinking or feeling when I wrote. He would just sing it in his way-- which as you can see worked out well" I look at this as Noel making Wonderwall his own and not approaching it from Liams perspective which is the perspective we all know and love. This was SUPER DOPE AMAZING! The strings and backing singers?! BEAUTIFUL

This version of Whatever is spectacular. The studio version is probably my favorite Oasis song of al time (closely followed by Stay Young). Whoever wrote the original string arrangement is a beautiful person. Love!

There’s something more…meaningful about the actual songwriter singing the songs, maybe Noel isn’t the strong technical vocalist that Liam is, but damn when he sings Oasis songs they’re so much more…emotionally charged I guess. I love him so much.

Noel wanted to sing "Don't Look Back in Anger". So he gave Liam a choice between this and "Wonderwall". He new that Liam would choose to sing "Wonderwall", so that way Noel got what he really wanted.
