I love how open the movie when Diana says:"There are days when her childhood feels very far away and others I can almost see it" and more the line: "Sometimes you don't understand what you learn until you need it" (it's a great truth).. I also love the whole competition scene and seeing young Diana in action: doing her acrobatics, jumping into the sea and shooting the arrows, and even though she was disqualified, I love the lesson that she is not ready to win yet, it is actually a shame to know the truth in the heart and not accept it .. and this line is EPIC: "This world is not yet ready for everything you will do"

A really well done opening scene! I think it's important for a movie like this to start big with opening titles, IMAX ratio, grandiose music and cinematography. Very few movies do this nowadays.

@@superjackster0165 Imo it had relation to the movie bc kid Diana was cheating to win as a kid, and in the movie what the villain was doing was cheating, manipulating ppl to have things they couldn't. Diana herself cheated when Steve came back but she realized that it was not for long, she already didnt have him anymore bc he died, and she was the first person to give up her wish. And like this scene was super cool, showing the Amazon's games, the "olympics" vibes were very nice. Like I get it, the movie is bad bc of many reasons, but if they had worked this "wish" idea better, it could have been a great movie.

Lilly Aspell was as her finest in this movie and gave a splendid performance, especially knowing that she did her own stunts. The opening scenes with young Diana were the best part of the movie. If she had stayed focused ahead instead of looking to see how far back her competitors were at, she wouldn't have fell off the horse, missed the last target and would have won. She learned a valuable lesson, but disappointing she wasn't the winner. Her fierce determination to win was probably stronger than any of them.

Except this causes a giant continuity error. Diana is a child in this flashback scene. But, in the first movie, her mother didn’t find out she was doing all this fighting and training until she was a teenager. How did nobody notice that giant error? And if they did, why didn’t they notify Patty Jenkins so they could’ve gone back and reshot the scene with the actress that played Teenage Diana

The moment Diana looked back was her undoing in this scene. Had she not looked back, she would have seen the tree branch and been able to duck to avoid it, or she could have maneuvered the horse around it.

The year is so significant. The lessons seem real, the athletic ability, astounding.

This movie fits so nicely in the Snyder-verse. Too bad the Warner Brothers choose to be ignorant towards one of the best movies to come from DC franchise. Zack Snyder Justice League 2!

She didn’t cheat. She fell off her horse and took a minor shortcut to catch up with it. That’s all that happened. Even then, how did they know that happened? The island doesn’t have security cameras or anything

@@swatm4525 Not really. It dragged on for 11-12 minutes. What’s worse is the ending of it. Diana gets disqualified for cheating. DIANA DID NOT CHEAT!!! She fell off her horse and took a minor shortcut to catch up with it. That’s all that happened.

@@superjackster0165 i disagree this scene shows Dianna’s background and what she grew up with. The whole movie is about Wonder Woman, and what’s the point of a movie without knowing the character’s background/history. And Dianna did cheat, she went off course to catch up with her horse instead of going the same path, just shows how strict the amazons were.
