Robin Wright's portrayal of Antiope is absolute perfection. I am more intimidated of her than Wonder Woman. It would have been wonderful to see more of her character, particularly in the SnyderCut.

As a woman, not only did this movie literally move me with the women in the film, directing it, costuming it, etc. I really enjoyed it as a superhero movie (I had very high expectations and was coming in not highly thinking of it). The costumes are amazing and take in to account a female warrior, the director shows women in all beautiful forms, and to be honest I have a slight crush on her aunt and mother!

This was what the sequel has done wrong. They made her out to be a genius who could even best others who have more experience than her. I like this Diana more, it shows her hard work, her path to something greater. That's why it feels great to see her kickass. Cuz we have seen how much she has worked for it, not becaused she was born for it or she was already better than the others, but rather because she had to bleed and sweat for it.

Damn. Your absolutely right. There were moments in the sequel that was emotional and feel for the character especially seeing Steve Trevor. Gosh those two have good chemistry in the movie. I cry and get goosebumps every time I hear tiny bits of Diana's theme in this movie, along with the huge orange shockwave at the end. Truly this is the best superhero film of 2017. Let Christopher Nolan and Patty Jenkins direct the rest of the franchise. James Wan and Snyder will be directors of visual, special, and sound effects, along with cinematography. Snyder will also be the producer, and of course, always Hans Zimmer as the head composer.

If you ever get a chance to read the original comics, Antiope is one hell of a badass, even more than shown here. There is one scene in the George Lopez comics where Antiope and a handful of Amazon soldiers go and hunt down and butcher every one of Heracles' ENTIRE ARMY in vengeance for Heracles' rape of Hippolyta - even the goddess Athene is taken aback by their savagery. Do not vex, anger, or otherwise piss off Antiope - it doesn't usually end well.
