It really bugs me how they used the wrong actress for this flashback. In the first film, Diana was a teenager when her mother discovered that she was doing all this fighting and training. So they should’ve used the actress that played teenage Diana. Why did they use the one that played her as a child?

I honestly appreciate the more realistic effort that they portray where it actually takes a moment to fit the arrow onto the bow in this scene. Especially when she does the horse jump. Unlike Legolas in LOTR where he fits it on in nanoseconds 😂

Exactly. She was physically ready, but not mentally. The second you compare yourself amongst your enemies or friends there can be severe consequences. I think that’s what the lesson was about. The fact she was worried about how she was doing compare to others instead of doing her best and not looking back.

It’s almost like one in horse riding at the moment because I led the charge on Pearl a few times and it was the best thing ever. This happened before my birthday 2 months ago now Laura leads it. 22nd December 2021, I waited to let go for almost 2 years now and I actually did. It was really scary at first but I got it in the end. I was almost about to cry doing this but managed to hold it together. I found out the in the beginning of Wonder Woman 1984 the aspect ratio starts in 1.90:1 and then it goes to 2.39:1 later after the opening scene and then to goes back to 1.90:1 at the ending scene.

This is a freaking AMAZING sequence. The costumes, action, coloring, set pieces, location and music are just incredible. I cant stop rewatching it. Not taking away anything from the effort in the rest of the film - but I wish the rest of the movie had the same tone.

The fact that Lilly Aspell (young Diana) did all of these stunts is amazing. She has a really bright future!

WOW I loved the Amazon Competition and seeing the young Diana's potential: the way she did his stunts, she jumped into the sea and shot the arrows riding the horse.. she is a WONDER and AMAZING.. I liked all, specially the MUSIC OLIMPIC STYLE , but I loved this TOTALLY EPIC line the most: "This world is not yet ready for everything you will do", also when her mother says her: "Your moment will arrive, Diana, someday you will becomes in all you have dream and more and all will different" and the lesson of that: "Nobody becomes a hero from one day to the next, but with true acts of bravery, with patience, diligence and courage to face the truth."

I just love wonder woman the way she act bold in her film

She was created by and granted her powers directly from the Gods at the moment of her creation. I love that Diana is 5000 years old, every amazon is older than her. But the ancient greek language they used to name everything is 3000 years old. And for some reason Diana has a Roman name not a greek one (Artemis is Diana), which is even younger latin version.

This movie brought so many powerful fights scenes that shows how human being live long by the help of the so called Super Heroes like Wonder woman in Phils. We have hade Darna version, I thank you 😁😁😁🤩😍

I have been a real OG since the 1890s playing Minecraft when it was still called cave game it was truly a remarkable experience I was playing with the boys on the new electric tabulating machines

So this is the scene that conflicts with the scenes of young Diana in the 1st movie, where Diana is forbidden from training, yet here she's risking her life.

I love how hitting those tiny targets while on horseback is just a basic part of the competition. Like if you can’t do that incredibly difficult task multiple times in a row, you’ve lost before you even start the race.

I could hit things from 40 yards, size of your fist, back of a pickup truck. Called 'em popguts, but that was... inconsiderate. But they dug holes, the the sheep would get their legs stuck in. And I'd pick them out of the air, fwip! Fwing. But... that's when I learned not to hurt people. I was a Navy corpsman, a medic, well... more than a medic. SEALs. Gal Gadot was mossad. I was SEALs. Meh! Things and stuff.

If you watch old westerns, there's a move where the feet catch the ground and sort semi-pinwheels your body around as you hang onto the saddle then as your straight lower body swings around and is above the bach of the horse, you pull and the your in the saddle. Common show riding trick. I was waiting to see it but I'm sure the director didn't want some cheap rodeo move in the movie.

I was trying to remember why I didnt like these scenes conclusion and now I remember that it's not that the messages are super contradictory, it's that Diana fails to hit the check points but did display other traits worthy of praise and nurturing and they just sum it all up to cheating which is a clumsy way for such an esteemed and experienced woman to approach the situation. It kinda feels dumb considering as a warrior Antiope should see these traits values immediately.
