Full coverage of the heats of the women's 400m hurdles event from the Olympic Stadium at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Since 1896, athletics has been on the programme of each edition of the Games of the Olympiad. Its presence on the Games programme has allowed its popularity to increase across the world. This popularity was also strengthened by the creation of the IAAF in 1912. Women's events appeared for the first time at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam, while the men's programme was standardised as of the 1932 Games in Los Angeles. Although at the beginning women were authorised to participate in only some events, today their programme is almost identical to that of the men.

Brown drew lane 5 and her crew chief, Mark Tarabochia from Astoria, Oregon liked what he saw of lane 4. That's why he decided to take that lane.

We have lane 5 this time. Demus is getting cheered on by her crew chief, Tim Cullinan out of Des Plaines, Illinois in lane 5. Moline has taken lane 7 according to her crew chief, Steve Bailey.

Why do I tremble while sprinting? I sprinted 200m yesterday(it was a practice) and after 100m I started trembling and I was shaking so I started slowing down, and I kept going it was hard to keep my pace. I was disappointed in myself because I know I could do better than that and I could get a better time than the other girl. Now I feel like I'm the slowest on the team.

Kc Gelera pretty sure it has to do with exhaustion, your body has pushed so hard that it's almost closing up on itself (this isn't for sure tho, just my own experience), make sure that you are resting, eating, and drinking well. It's fine that you slowed down, everyone has off-days and if you're doing all you can it will pay off--also, we think we could have done better afterwards but often that's just undermining how hard we actually did work. Having this struggle and knowing what it feels like to be "the slowest" will make you stronger, give you motivation to push harder(you already showed that in your comment), and help you to have compassion for other people who struggle. I know how it is to be the slowest, I'm coming back from an injury and subsequent surgery but we just got to keep going because we will get better. If the shaking gets really severe though u should probably go to a doctors, if not, it'll eventually get to be less or go away. Hope this helped...
