Agree with the lights debacle-- there were places shifting in the last 200 meters that the lack of lighting obscured.

They really missed the mark with the lights at Hayward for this meet. These races are almost unwatchable, I can't imagine racing with the lights doing this. It's good to see Karissa back on form though!

Agreed. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. It's a track meet not a dance club.

@@samanderson7745 Absolutely. I have no argument against the entertainment value (not my cup of tea, but that's another story). The use of the lights are obstructive of the very point of the race, which is to watch the competitors.

Who in the hell thought flashing the lights would be a good thing. Awful....

Those overhead lights seem like a form of torture for the athletes and the fans.

In addition to the stupid lights ruining watching the race, it looked like the stands were going in and out of darkness as well. I can see someone getting hurt, tripping and falling on stairs, etc. and suing. At least if that happened, it might put an end to this stupidity.

I particularly enjoyed watching the pacers in the spotlight while the rest of the field was in the dark.
