depends how you look at it, if you "exist" in the fragrance world then some will come across as more popular than they would do to someone who isn't in the same world. walking on the street I have probably never smelled a PDM fragance but looking on tiktok or youtube etc the appear as very popular

They always say that Dior sauvage is commonly used, but it cannot be denied, it is one of the best scent in fragrance community

Got my Y this Christmas. Became my favorite fragrance immediately, the smell is just so good and it projects really well. It’s worth the price.

I haven’t tried AL Harmain Intense yet but I’m going to give it a try and see if it performs better than Aventus. THANK YOU. I've been using Dolce & Gabbana EDT for years and get many compliments. I was thinking of getting a secondary cologne such as Aventus by Creed or Dior Sauvage. I've heard a lot about everybody smelling like Sauvage. Don't want to be a reminder of an ex. lol This video was a big help. Loved it. Have you done a video on Gucci Guilty EDT or one of the Bleu de Chanel EDT, EDP? Those were the other two I was contemplating. I'm not really into a scent like Gio de Agua. FYI I use to wear Aramis by Estee Lauder back in the 80's. lol

for starters, Dior Sauvage and YSL have to be applied from a distance because they develop overtime into a more alluring scent . spraying them so close to the paper and testing it straightaway does not allow you to smell the perfume properly. Creed is the strongest of them all but has a slightly flat scent and doesnt develop as much and it stays strong longer and should be applied from a much further distance than the other two. if these tests were done properly the results would have been totally different

Let me tell you a story, I’m not usually a guy who spends money on colognes and it takes me a long time to finish a 50ml bottle(years). The first time I wore Creed Aventus by way of a small 2ml tester, I got more compliments on that one 2ml tester than I did wearing all the other various colognes for years. Creed Aventus is definitely worth the price and makes you smell like a professional. Highly recommend it

I am new to the cologne world, at least serious this time. I test smelled dior sauvage EDP the other day and it was a 7 out of 10 for me. I actually prefer the fragrance after it has been sprayed after a couple hours better than when it is first sprayed. It is a bit too strong at first for me and I am not the biggest fan of the "soapy" smell. I have ordered 2mL samples of Bleu de Chanel EDP and Aventus Creed. My older brother uses Aventus Creed among a few others and I remember liking it when he had it on. In fact, I believe I liked Abercrombie Fierce more than Dior Sauvage EDP too! So in a couple days, I will test out Aventus Creed and BDC EDP and figure it out for sure.

Fr, I've legit worn Dior before and yeah it smells good but Aventus is the ONLY one where I've had people go out of their way to ask me what I was wearing.

I walked into a shop today because I wanted a new scent and came out with Sauvage. I had no idea it was so popular (not that many men wear something), though it doesn't surprise me. It just smells right and produces nice visions in my mind. The other one I had is Egoiste, which interestingly enough is more of a winter vibe compared to Sauvage, so it is perfect to complement it.

Savuage is a great all-rounder fragrance. There is a reason it is super popular, and that's because it's very pleasant. Most men only wear fragrances on special occasions, so I don't think any fragrance is worn frequently enough to become "too popular". I now own a number of fragrances, but I still wear Sauvage often enough to justify buying a new bottle a few months back. It's a must-have in my opinion, even though people in the community love to hate it

People say a similar thing about the Armani Acqua Di Gio line, but Profumo is still a beast. I think it's the fragrance that makes a man feel the most like an absolute Chad when wearing it 😂

I always get compliments on the Dior. No one has ever asked 'Is that Sauvage?' let alone 'That's Sauvage'. Most men don't even wear cologne and the ones that do wear any of a hundred scents, so I don't get this Sauvage is 'too common' take.

The problem with dior sauvage is everyone bought it and became a burned fragrance. It's also way way too powerful. Coworkers would tell me they would Smell me coming a mile away 😂. I actually began to notice it as well and became a real disgusting fragrance over time. I recently got YSL EDP and it kills dior hands down. Fresh clean not overly intoxicating like dior sauvage

It’s a completely different type of fragrance but I definitely recommend getting Valentino born in Roma intense edp I straight up just can’t get enough of this damn fragrance and I feel like not many people would have smelled it before or know what it is. Just my opinion though I have both and kind of prefer sweeter scents but I could see ysl y edp being more of a 4 season scent

Sauvage and Spice Bomb Extreme are the only 2 scents you need. Maybe Bleu de Chanel edp for something more laid back

I've recently bought a 60ml Dior Sauvage EDT batch 2022 about 3 months old, I can confirm to you that has been reformulated in regards of performance, doesn't last more than 5-6hrs and the projection is week also.

Michella couldn't believe it every time a girl said she liked Aventus 😂 I slightly prefer Y EDP over Aventus, but I wear Aventus and L'Aventure Intense pretty reguarly. Definitely pick up a bottle of that if you can find it around 40 USD/EUR. I blind bought it off Jomashop and it's fantastic!

Aventus is so good :/ if you give it a whole day it just starts to smell better and better and like it'll smell totally different on one person to another. I don't get it but it's perfection to me lolll

Okay, so here's my 2 cents. First off let me say "Happy New Year's" from the states. Super big fan of your channel as well. Now when it comes to this specific battle I think Aventus should've gone 1st in line just due to the other two fragrances being Ambroxan chemical bombs. Reason why I'm saying this is because once you take a whiff of Ambroxan, it really doesn't allow your nose to refresh itself unless you give it some time or a take a few whiffs of coffee beans. You wouldn't be able to smell the ambergris in Aventus. All you would smell is a bitter scent since (Aventus) is more on the natural side compared to the other two. Let me know what you guys and gals think. @Curlyfragrance keep up the great content!!!

Here for some Donkey Bells 😄😁. Another great vid, these street battles are alwyas the best. I got both bangers so I'm glad I never splurged on Aventus and wasted my money. I have worn Insurrection pure 2 several times and got some really good reactions, even from 1 dude that already knew his fragrances and said...hey are you wearing Aventus? Cause it smells good. Talk about Aventus on a budget.

toss in ones very close to today's actual shower gel/soap scents . egoiste platinum, Coolwater (or GIT), etc. Guy beside me on plane yesterday had GIT on and it smelled so basic and overpriced to me because i know what it is. would be interesting to see what people think of scents that smell close to things that are available in ordinary products used every day. Another example is Prada Amber pour Homme and clothes done with ordinary dryer sheets.

I bought Creed Aventus more than once, and it is truly the king of perfumes, according to the testimony of many experts. It is true that its performance has become average, but it remains a great gem in the world of perfumes. 😍😌❤

Paper taste can be very different from skin test, I've had others love a scent on paper but hate it on my skin and I as well have liked a scent on paper but didn't like it on my skin and vice versa.

Yeah and aventus is really different on skin. I don't notice a huge difference between skin and paper with sauvage.

I've never been a fan of the AJ-12s but you make them look great, Michella.

Great work 😊 You should swap the samples order up when you give it to the other person so they aren't influenced by the others.

I come from a town in Canada where fragrances aren’t super popular. I always war Polo Supreme Oud and Victorinox by Swiss Army before that. I just bought YSL Y and and Dior Sauvage. Waiting for them in the mail.

It also depends on who’s wearing it. Fragrances smell different on people. I have all 3 of these colognes and I actually get more compliments with creed aventus. If you really want a different smell that will turn heads I’d recommend Tom Ford tobacco vanille. It’s cost a little more than Y and Sauvage, but is less expensive than Aventus. It has a rich smell but still has a sweetness to it too.

This is the last street reactions in the Netherlands right? I think the battles in Dubai will be also very interesting but I will miss the Dutch people. It was always fun to watch ❤️

@@MrET114it stinks because you havent smelled an Aventus before 2019. This reformulated Aventus doesn’t even compare to the original. It’s like a watered down version of it. Nobody including myself can smell it after 30 minutes after being applied. It used to garner compliments like crazy even after hours of wearing it. The old Aventus was an absolute legend. The newer one is average on a good day.

I’m surprised you didn’t get more compliments with the 2017 Aventus. Anytime I wore Aventus from 2019 or earlier, I would almost certainly get a compliment. The newer Aventus is average at best. Such a shame they have reformulated it. I stopped buying it and don’t even wear it now because of it.

Creed aventus is liked by bros my most complemented fragrances. Honestly coach platinum for men

You can’t beat aventus in the spring and summer! Absolutely gorgeous fragrance! One of The best in my collection. It just screams spring and warmer days. Y edp smells good but very synthetic and savauge is great but wayyyy too popular.

I have dior but I grow tired of it. Every guy I know wears it and you end up blending in. The ONLY one who has beat Dior Sauvage for me as far as compliments go is my Versace Signature. It’s my Obsession. I just recently smelled “Y” and I immediately loved it. I sprayed it on my shirt at the mall and it still smells wonderful hours later. It’s sexy and sweet.

I may be slightly bias because I do love what Creed puts out, but I have the Aventus and Sauvage. I would wear the Aventus over the Sauvage any day. Aventus was my "everyday" goto and Millesime was my "grown man\date night" pick.

I been saying for years that men like Aventus way more than women do. Also only the frag community hates Sauvage but the general public loves it. It just works. It's popular for a reason. Easy compliment getter.

Another fun street reaction video. Wow, did Creed Aventus do badly. I always suspected it was overrated but I never thought it would do this badly. I'm really torn on the Dior Sauvage. I love the smell, especially the Elixir version which is mindblowing to me, but if everyone wears it then there's really not much point to it.

Not everyone wears it. I never had the chance to smell Elixir from anyone except my friend who told me about it. That's why I got it. It's unique and it's expensive. Not everyone would buy a 160euro 60 ml perfume. If people are not that into perfumes, they don't spend that amount of money on perfumes.

Have you ever smelled it? I think she must have messed up the paper. It smells very good I just bought it. Especially after 30 mins it smells mesmerizing so if she just sprayed it on it could smell like oak moss too much. Every other comparable vid to this Aventus is about even with the others

@JHtheKING1 I have indeed had the pleasure. There is a Holt Renfrew that sells the entire Creed line walking distance from where I live. Unfortunately, a standard 100 ml/3.4 oz bottle is a whopping $597 CDN before taxes which is a purchase price I cannot justify. It makes Dior Dauvage Elixir look like a bargain at $310 CDN retail.

@@bronstet gotcha, yeah I bought a small tester 6 years ago for like $20. But decided to buy a whole bottle recently since I got a raise. And got it on Fragrancenet which had it 30% off at like $340 usd before tax. I want to buy sauvage too

I kind of think it’s the paper honestly. It smells a bit sharp but seems to mellow out on skin and smell a lot different. I don’t like it right at first but once it mellows out it’s nice.

Irrespective of the hate it gets in the fragrance community, there's a reason why Sauvage went on to be one of the best blue fragrances out there in the market. It may be overused or stale for some people, but it is top-tier.

It would be cool if you made a vid on what colognes make the best combos when u mix them that would be unique and create to see what you got lined up not easy mixing colognes and having them come out good

I must say, lately I've been surprised at how much ladies dislike Aventus compared to other designer fragrances. While I love it, as well as many more, it appears to always fall short considerably when in competition with other fragrances. Shocker.

The reason for this is because it has been reformulated. It’s not even close to the cologne it used to be when it first came out. I bought a bottle every year but I’ve stopped buying it last year because it’s not the same anymore. If you haven’t smelled a 2010-2013 (which was the best imo) bottle or even the ones from 2014-2019, then you will never get the hype. The Aventus now is average at best. The original Aventus would blow Sauvage and Y out of the water.

@@LG-pg2yu that's valid logic there. Especially since I've seen so many praise the past smoky formulations of it. My batch is 2021, and it's very sharp on the pineapple, but the woods and smokiness are very faint. Truly saddening. Projection 4hrs and longevity 8hrs with 10 sprays.

I heard the new formulation is crap. My vintage bottle, I go 5 sprays it’s beast mode

Creed Aventus is my most complemented cologne. Short story my gf don’t like it on paper either when I first was tying it out but the sales rep requested I wear it on skin which I did & it was game changer. All the chicks I took out on dates after that love how good I smell.

Many people don't like it on a paper, but it's completly different story when you actually wears it, same for the sauvage.
