Hey Michela , great video 👍🏻 I'll give you my honest opinion , your butt looks great in those jeans 😍😍😁 .. Seriously I think Francois demachy is targeting a certain age with elixir , 80s 90s powerhouse fans will love it , younger generation might find it too strong and offensive .. so far this one and the parfum are my favorite! And I still think that the EDT project more in a chocking way , elixir leaves a very nice trail behind you , around you and Infront of you 😁. It's a great scent . Btw I received my 2nd bottle 2 days ago 😉

Only smelled the 1st savauge that came out and Elixir , Elixir is beautiful but the initial spray can be challenging, the dry down is great and lavender stays predominant as well as some spices. Not sure about 150 dollars for the smallest bottle but no regrets

Bought this a couple days ago at Sephora after smelling a sample and loving it. I definitely overdid it on my first wearing. I heard Curly in my head telling me not to be a pussy. This stuff was pushing off of me like a locomotive. I think with 6 sprays I might have actually permanently damaged the Earth's atmosphere. I work in a large warehouse, and everyone smelled this. 100% of the guys liked it. With women was about 70/30, with complaints being that it was too strong, but not that it smelled bad.

When I wore the sample of Elixir the other day, I instantly got a compliment from the waitress in the Indian restaurant I usually go to. She said she would wear it herself as she likes strong frags made for men and she usually wears Oriental frags too😀 But even my female colleague said that it's really good even tho she likes sweet, almost feminine frags.

Elixir is a 10 in my book, it’s nothing like there other 3 at all which I was pleasantly surprised about. It’s very mature smelling and I get why other reviewers have said it smells like a modern day 80’s and 90’s day fragrance. That black licorice note is very prominent in this one 👌

Bought Elixir as soon as it was released at Macy’s in the USA. Loved it so much I went back and bought another bottle. Really masculine and sophisticated. Not for kids. This is for the confident, successful man.

Tried elixir at macys and was 1st sold and after waking around the mall for an hour it turned into one of my fav scents in my collection. This fragrance changes like 3-4 times in it’s different stages.

I went to the store to specifically sample it. I can 100 percent agree that yes the price tag is in the niche territory and it is not like the first 3. I love elixir and parfum but elixir is for someone in their late 20s or early 30s. Great review and fragrance!

This was the best review I've seen for this fragrance. Very well done! :)

Watching the reactions to sauvage line in general was pretty awesome. I love the long pause after many of them when asking if the fragrance was sexy or not. Then having them pick their favorite of two they dislike was awesome. People need to heed your advice on your original sauvage review! Great video as always!

I think elixir would’ve got more points if the test is made in winter since it is not a summer fragrance, but the fact that it had so much point already against sauvage actually shows how great this scent is

Just smelled both at Macy's today. The guy selling it said that the Elixir had 90% oil as opposed to the parfum or the EDT which is what makes it stronger. The Elixir by far was much better and prominent than the parfum and would imo be more bang for your buck. I definitely liked the scent although it's a bit pricey. It does hit strong in the beginning but the lingering scent is one the best scents out there.

Awesome video! I love that you take the time to listen to the persons opinions what they thought about the cologne. Pls make more videos like this whit other colognes!!

Michella, I am not a fan of the original Sauvage but I love the new Elixir. I agree with you, ELIXIR is more masculine & mature than the original Sauvage

This test doesn't do Elixer justice, the silage is what makes it so dam incredible. I have a tester strip in the pocket of my heavy work jacket, zipped up two weeks ago in my car and every time I walk in BAM! I get a whiff of that great scent.

First time i tried it I was shocked how strong and different it was. Off the skin at first sniff I can hostly say I did’t like it. But as it dried down and I got whiffs of it in the air I started to like it a lot more, especially as the liquorice note stated to come through. But it leaves me to think, would I have ended up buying it if it wasn’t for all the hype.

Great video Curly! I think Sauvage Elixir is the best and most masculine in the Sauvage line. It is also reminiscent of fougere fragrances of the 70s and 80s. Definitely a mature, masculine scent that a lot of younger women may not like on a man in his twenties or younger.

I really appreciate this scent and I think it’s well rounded and super smooth. But it reminds me of an older msn for sure. I don’t even think someone in their late 20s could pull it off

The problem with Sauvage is it will always smell better in the air opposed to up close. I know of a lot of people who hate on it because of this, as when they test it out they do, as we all do....smell it up close and formulate an opinion .

I noticed once Elixir and the original Sauvage dried down, Elixir was better hands down. The closer to the opening the original Sauvage was getting the votes.

I was convinced, when Curly said "two sprays only". And it is great!

My wife surprised me with a bottle of Elixir for our anniversary. If I'm lyin', I'm dyin'. I can still smell it on my shirts AFTER machine washing and drying. This stuff is like tar. You have to scrape it off your skin. The $155 price tag seems insane, but this stuff is worth every penny.

After @12:57 "Just two sprays... If I say two sprays, that means this shit is reaaaaaally strong" Elixir pulling an unprecedented declaration from Curly right there, well done, Dior! :DDDDD PS. I loved this fragrance first sniff, so all the way for me, from the powerful opening till the far drydown. I cannot say that at any point I did not like it.

This is a great review, make more of them! I just tested the Elixier one times and didn't like it, because it reminded me of really old men, but I'll test it again. At the moment I still prefer the EDP

Great review. I have both, but the Elixir is my absolute favorite.

I was so hoping you had done this showdown, Michella. I sampled Dior Sauvage and Elixir to see what all the hype was about and Dior Sauvage was unlike anything I have ever smelled before. Liquid Crack cocaine of a scent. 🙂 Glad to see it got more points but also interesting how even in some wins the women were generally down on it. I wound definitely get Elixir over the regular for sure.

Finally took it outside ....great job. Hope we see more videos like this

Elixir is the better fragrance of the two, but it needs to dry down for a longer amount of time to reach its peak scent. It's very spicy when it goes on. It does not smell that spicy, and becomes far softer the longer you wear it. The difference from someone who has used both, is that EDT smells better when it goes on, but it becomes much weaker over time. Elixir will keep it's projection for close to 24 hours. It can smell on your clothes for literal days. So if you are looking for a 'going out' scent, EDT is better and more preferred in short term exposure. If you want an all day scent, the elixir is the better choice. They aren't exactly the same scent, elixir definitely has a spicy top note. It wears down very different on different men, but it's actually quite sweet smelling.

I came to perfume shop to buy another fragrance. Then accidentally I saw this new release of dior. I was waiting to try this one, because in my country for new releases we have to wait a bit. I saw it and I came straight to this. First spray and wow, I was suprised how different sauvage it is. I tested this on my hand, and all day magical smell tickles my nose. Next day I smelled my hand and that smell still was pretty noticeable. Then I realised that I need it! I bought it and I’m so happy to have this. Such a strong stuff with magical smell... It’s the best performing perfume in my collection and the notes is so well blended! Awesome job DIOR!

I bought all my perfumes under your recommendations I’ve never get one bad perfume , good job lady 🔥

Great review! However, skin chemistry is different on each person. Maybe Dior Sauvage OG doesn't smell that great on your friend's skin and could be the reason most girls didn't care for it. Neverthless, great review!

Ordered this straight up and was not disappointed. At first I thought... Woah that is way too much but it settled quickly and is now one of my favourite fragrances

Hi Michella what a great video, nicely done with original research and reactions of people. You just keep getting better what great ideas to make this type of video good effective summing up at the end. I don’t know this fragrance although I know its popular. I also enjoyed watching your Fragrance Du Bois video, made previously, great to see your genuine joy in telling us about those high end fragrances, they must smell amazing. I checked out their website they use what they call vintage oud probably special distilled fragrance oils. Excellent as always, great to watch with good advice too.

Elixir is very mature. Definitely worth buying. I love your approach on this video. I do own the original sauvage.

The Elixer needs 20 minutes to develop on the skin IMO. When i first tested it i wasnt so impressed but 20 minutes later i couldn't stop sniffing my wrist

It’s amazing, I think. I think it’s something I would wear going into my late 20s soon for, or through my 30s. I think it would be great in 20 years. One of my favorites I have tried. It’s so dense and probably just about smells niche, especially with its unique opening an incredible drydown. Definitely the classiest Sauvage, and there is something there that reminds me of the EDT, or, at least, the memory is there of it. Incredible aromatic, woody, somewhat spicy and gourmandy fragrance qualities.

Please, for the love of god. Take her word for it. You know dam well if she says two sprays, two sprays will be all you need . This stuff projects like a beast. I sprayed it on a jacket over a week ago and it still smells very strong. Sprayed skin take a shower, Yep you guessed it,still on your skin. I went ahead and bought a second bottle before they start changing the formula. I can hear the KZreadrs in 3 years from now, "This batch of elixir is not as strong as the 1st batch when it 1st came out." Will definitely be my go to fragrance when it starts to cool down. P.S.- good pick for the thumbnail, she was the prettiest of them all 💜

I have both and I have to be honest. I bought the EDT after Elixir because I was wear the Elixir so much. I have had ladies tell me "You Smell So Damn Good" and " What The Hell Is That, I could smell it in the other Aisle " . I asked the lady did it smell good or bad and she said it smelled like a man is suppose to smell. I love the EDT for work when I go to the office but Elixir is my fun time fragrance. It also works good in the Colombian Heat. I got a lot smiles a nice amount of complements when I wore Elixir on vacation in Cartagena Colombia last week

Unpopular opinion here, but I still think the EDP beats the entire lineup. Classier than the EDT and Cool Spray, but still has enough ambroxan to make it beachy smelling unlike Parfum and Elixir that have that old school smell you are talking about Curly.

I am very curious about this scent... I have the original Dior Sauvage and 2 clones, Armaf Ventanna and Cyrus Writer. I love Cyrus Writer as has got me loads of compliments and performs great... I have seen your review now, and watched Justin's initial views and both have been pretty positive... You made me laugh when you said 2 sprays only, knowing what you're like, so it definitely must be a beast... The price is a bit off putting but curiosity is trying to get the better of me... I definitely want to a least sample it... I must say how I noticed from your straw poll that there was no sexy 9s or 10s but a few 7s and 8s... As you said, maybe people need to get used to it.
