Dude, I just smelled it at Macy's. I love the strong citrus smell. But I was getting Azzaro Wanted by Night primarily. If I get that, I'll have the whole YSL collection lol

I totally agree with your review! I am very impressed by this release.

Just picked some up and I really like it. I had the original Y and I liked it but I didn't love it. I love this though, better than Sauvage IMO, and neck and neck with BdC EDP. It's a little brighter and more youthful than BdC EDP. Perfect for warmer weather in my opinion, good for any occasion IMO. I think it's a little more seductive than people think, it's a sort of nice to be close to type of scent.

You hit it on the head young man..Went to Macy’s smelled on test strip shopped and bought a bottle on way out. Smell this fragrance through out my shopping trip..Great mass appealing scent. Great job

Great review, this lasts so much longer than the original Y and it does get me compliments.

This is a great review Ashton, very informative. This is a better release than almost all of the other blue fragrances out there and the best part is it has great performance. That being said it is a pretty generic release from YSL, but if you don't already have a Sauvage, Dylan Blue, or Aqva Atlantique type of frag this is the way to go.

Such a fresh fragrance. It’s my everyday Fragrance since 2019

Love Y, it’s my favorite of 2018. Reminds me of a mix of AHS Eau Extreme and BDC EDP

Has become one of my favorites. The more I put it on, the more I fell in love with it. I’m rocking it up here in New Hampshire in “teen” temperatures and it performs. Plenty of my customers have commented on how “pleasant” it smells. YSL hit a home run with this one. It will be worked into my rotation year round.

Still rocking Y EDP in 2021, still pulling the compliments daily. Great review. 👍

Definitely my favorite pick up from 2018!

Y is my all time fav so far (I’m a firm believer that some people’s body chemistry causes some scents to smell different), I’ve never had strangers ask me what I’m wearing..until I found Y.

This and Prada L'homme are the kings of versatility. You can use one or the other on every single occasion and you'll always smell fresh and clean. Everyone will enjoy it unless they are fragrance snobs who like to smell like bat poo or something

The EDP drydown reminds me a lot of Invictus aqua. A more smoother version of it.

Yves St Laurent Y EDP is worth it. I luckily live in a fairly small city and not a lot of people try new things. I always get compliments and always get asked what am I wearing because its so unique. Even though its been reviewed as "nothing new" by most reviewers, again I live in a small city and I get great reinforcement. Yves St Laurent Y edp is my signature scent. Gonna have to get another bottle. And I spent $95 for 60 ml.

Another honest, fair review! Well done Ash...I will have to check this one out.

The fragrance is a polished iteration of a scent that pleases the average person. It is hard to describe the positivity of its mass-pleasing quality without making it sound generic. But what it may not have in uniqueness (which is a doubl-edged sword) it more than compensates on its longevity. One easily gets 8+ hours and 8 is the lowest of the lowest margins. I wore this on my wrist and happened to drive around with a bike for over 3 hours and its scent remained for the rest of the day. Neither sweat nor evaporation pose threat to this fragrance. It is simply freshness with an underlying maturity and an emphasis on perseverance. If originality weren't a variable, it'd definitely be a 10/10.

You sold me on it!! I take your reviews seriously. I ordered this last week while working out of town. It was delivered late last week. I can't wait to wear it. Thank you for your great,through and very descriptive review.

Absolutley wonderful review!!! Just what i needed to hear , keep them coming , i have 3 grown boys, a dad ,several cousins , etc... that LOVE cologne, and youre the best!!!!

Perfect spring and summer fragrance for me. Not powdery/soapy, not a fruit salad/citrus bomb. Ash is right, the green apple, ginger and juniper are mixed really well and that blend makes this stand out. That and the performance being above avg for such a versatile frag.

Great review! For what it's worth, I've gotten more compliments from this one than anything else I've purchased in the last couple years.

I actually haven't smelled this before lol. But after smelling it, it gives off a very "holiday" scent to it. It's like cinnamon cider, fruitcakes and a fireplace. It gets more interesting the more you smell it too. First wiff is a little eh, but it grows on you and feels complete

I love it already bought 4 bottles. Before bleu de chanel EDP was my prefered one.

I get more complements with the edt version..it seems stronger than the parfum to me my girl likes it much better

I personally don't care if it's unique. What I look for in a cologne is a scent that I like, that it last awhile and that it projects a bit.

Cool video! Love your video on MFK Baccarat as well. I just smelled this today at Dillards and wow its so fresh and clean. Hopefully, this one will get me compliments. The place where I live people are a bit stingy with compliments because they never wear perfumes or dress well haha.

My favourite fragrance so far although I didn't pick up the nuances of apple and ginger. Mine almost immediately hit me with amber wood and smells very similar to Prada Luna rossa black apart from the annoying metallic scent

Y edp was my first pick up of 2019 and after giving a few wearings it made me regret buying my bottle of Sauvage edp just 3 weeks prior definitely in the top 3 of designer releases from last year

Yeah Y puts Sauvage to shame in both smell and performance.

Just picked this up and love it! Being how many sprays of this would be appropriate? Just for normal temperatures, not the extreme heat or extreme cold?

I just bought this today, wore it...and EVERYONE I ran into today, asked me what cologne I was wearing and that I smelled really good. So, yes, compliments confirmed. I usually never get compliments except when I wear YSL La Nuit de L'homme, Sauvage, and Tom Ford's Noir Extreme. Those 3 get me the most compliments hands down. Oh, the Sauvage is the EDP version, but I layer the EDP on top of the EDT when I need that kick. Ratio of 2:3 EDP to EDT. 5 squirts...you know where.

@@bobasd8206 This one is special in my opinion. I say, it's an all-year round fragrance with a lean toward Fall. I'd go further and say, I would probably suggest to use it at night because of the Sage. It has a sweetness that get you noticed while the Sage pulls you into the mystery. This is my opinion. I hope this adds to your insight.

This reminds my wife of the original invictus aqua in the air. Definitely a sweet fragrance, not suitable in high heat imo. I sold it originally but when I ran out of IA I grabbed a partial. This thing is an absolute beast, sometimes 3 sprays is too much for me. Not sure I’d say it’s mature being a bit ‘bubble gummy’ but it’s definitely a headturner and suitable for gatherings/parties etc.

I have them both the EDP and the EBT I enjoyed them both I live in the desert of Arizona and the EDT works perfectly fine and last for ever on my skin so does the EDP. Most people cannot tell the difference between them, great video two thumbs up

I LOVE the Toillette but just got the Parfum yesterday and I got SO MANY compliments today alone. It’s my new main scent. I got a lot of compliments wearing Jimmy choo intense but the scent didn’t fit me. This one does

Amazing perfume. Long lasting. I had mont blanc xplorer, versace lhomme and ysl y on my skin. All of them has faded away and ysl y is still performing great.

I don't know but I changed my mind buying this. The dry down reminds me of YSL Cologne Blue which I already have. It's quite redundant. I find the EDT too sweet.

This is my 3 bottle in 2 years and its bomb I paid $135 at Macy's for the big bottle zero regrets for the price

I just picked up a tester bottle of the 100ml Edp on fragrancenet for $40 with the 37% off code. I couldn’t believe it but it’s true. The bottle just came in yesterday and while I think it smells really good...the performance is lacking. Of course naturally, for me anyways, I get to thinking it’s a bunk bottle and that’s why I got it for so cheap.

Why not both? Even if they’re both blue fragrances supposedly don’t smell nothing alike. Y edp is sweeter, sauvage edp is spicier ish

Top 3 best blue fragrances of all time Imo. Maybe even top 2 next to Bleu De Chanel Edp.

Jubi Hi agreed, I made the mistake of spraying 4 sprays on a hot work day and this stuff was nuclear, almost choked out my co worker. From now on only 2 sprays MAX for any weather above 80 degrees

Love this one. Bought it from Macy’s a month ago. When it comes to YSL and Dior I always buy two bottles cause they reformulate their original in few years. For example La Nuit and Dior homme

Bingo. Ever since it came out, I'always felt that on my skin, it basically became the better and more versatile, perhaps slightly more mature version of Invictus Aqua. Unfortunately, the prodigious longevity of the juniper makes it too annoying for me to wear anymore. Not a fan, but comparing it with other designers, it really does do a good job at being a standard versatile freshie.

I am gonna try this one. I keep trying Sauvage and i get only a mere 5 hours longevity with the edp
