My thought on cologne is, u just gonna have to find the one that fit u. I have the same view as fanum, normal people are not gonna notice all those note unless your a cologne expert. if u find a sense that smell good and matches with your skin just rock it.

Awesome vid, in you opinion what makes dior sauvage so likeable and projecting? Are there any scents you can think of that fit that same night out category with a sexier side and good projection?

Thanks so much! Dior Sauvage firstly has a very bright and addicting bergamot opening. It is as if you are cutting into the citrus itself and squeezing it; it's that invigorating in Sauvage! But also, it's done overtly synthetic here so it is long lasting and it creeps into the mid. It also has a metallic edge to it which is a little harsh, but definitely attention grabbing. It is this aspect that makes this scent potentially not flattering if oversprayed. And lastly and most importantly, the ambroxan is crucial. A musky aromachemical that is intoxicating in that it assists in igniting one's carnal desires. Now a lot of R&D went into that scent and that line, so it was "engineered to sell", but as far as "blue" scents at its most attention grabbing, I'd say don't seek alternatives. The alternatives alternatively do other things. Like, I prefer Bleu de Chanel Parfum for example, for a more straightforward but refined "deep waters" approach. Also, it's something that is more subdued in projection which I prefer because I don't care to flatter strangers I don't know, but rather my loved ones and myself in close range. So yeah, it depends what you want to go for! Hope this helps.

Yeah, Bonds are just not as smooth which is deliberate on their part… But they often smell cheapened in comparison to others in its or surrounding price points, ugh.

While i understand what you mean by “naturally” wanting to smell a certain way, idealizing them as “masculine” notes, you may find it interesting that perfume/cologne was made for men first - and it was all floral! It was very common for wealthy men to smell of white flowers, lavender, and also powdery notes that we currently perceive as “feminine”! Don’t want to sound patronizing or say you’re wrong for finding woody or aquatic notes inherently masculine, but this is a concept i find interesting, and think it should be more common knowledge! I think fanum is right, a man can wear anything; long as he knows how to rock it!

Rather you don’t have to. But they were rubbed on prior to the introduction of atomizers after all. Atomizers just kinda make rubbing redundant since you can just aim and spray without messing up your hands.
