I found myself seeing her cold and aloof. I don't know if it as her intent to not show any emotions about her children getting murdered. It was awkward. I didn't see anything within her as she told the story. It was just like her talking about how her day went. My empathy went for her children. But who am I too judge how someone should react or not react to something this horrific.

My girlfriend was killed by her husband. They had not been married a year and she was pregnant. His father was a police officer and they made a story up that he shot her thinking someone was trying to break into the house. He did do a little time but not enough. I was in my twenties and now in my seventies so that tells you how long ago that was. We got wind that her husband had gotten out of jail and was about to get married again. She's right the pain never go away you just learn how to cope with them not being there anymore. My family experienced a tragedy similar to this a few years ago. My cousin had to watch one of her twin daughters get shot in the head by her boyfriend she had just broken things off with a few hours before that. He was there to kill the entire family. On top of that his own kids were there and he killed her daughter in law too. When her and her husband ran outside she had no clue the guy had caught her husband and killed him nearby. I've never been to 3 funerals within 24 hours of each other. This woman and my cousin have to be the strongest women i've seen since my Grandmommy. After this tragedy i haven't looked at dating the same and i Literally became terrified to date. My cousin put on a brave face but you can see when someone is still hurting inside. What gives people the right to take your Life because you want to end the relationship or marriage with them? How dare both of these coward guys do this to them. STAY SAFE EVERYONE. I remember this story very well. I have always felt so sad for those children especially the two older children who were not his kids and of whom he did not want. This monster befriended the lady's pastor father and conned his way into a friendship with the pastor father and joining his church where the pastor father spoke up for the monster to his daughter and that is how their romance began. You do NOT EVER DATE OR TAKE IN A MAN FROM PRISON WHEN YOU HAVE CHILDREN TO PROTECT. DON'T do it. Please do not do it. This woman took this violent man in her home among her two children of whom he showed a disdain towards. She married him and had two addition kids with him. He very violently killed the older two one after the other after he bound and tied them up. He made her watch but his two biological kids got a less brutal death of carbon monoxide poisoning ( if my memory is correct). Cold and calculating. This could have been prevented. Unfortunately, I can't have any sympathy for this woman. She put her children in harms way. She married a convicted murderer. She continued to stay, leaving him access to those children. Even her 'victim response' in court appeared shallow. Those children deserved a better mother who could protect them and a better stepfather/ father than they received. She should feel shame of profiting off of their lost lives because their blood is on both their hands.
