I have brought his name up a few times the last year to friends. I thought he was just amazing, & I miss his music, & that heavenly voice. So nice to see some info on him, lately. It sucks though, to see this about a coma. I really hope he's 100% ok,& can bring his music back.
What he said about his mother,..about him having to be home by a certain time,..discipline factor, and following through,...that says it all. She is a good mother! Too many kids running the streets at all hours these days.

And my mother, grandmother, neighbors, and friends parents saw to it that we were all watched over and made sure that if we did not go in the house when the street light came on, or wasn't accounted for when they did come on, that our parents were contacted via telephone, or a personal trip was made to our homes. BECAUSE OUR VILLAGE REALLY DID ASSIST WITH RAISING US BACK IN THOSE DAYS. AND I THANK GOD! THEY DID! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I was a teenager back in the 80's when Al B. was at his height. I'm glad that he's recovering and doing well. One of the kings of New Jack Swing/R&B.

This guy is 10 years younger than me, and I've never been in a hospital more than a day, never been cut into. I better get going. Don't take one moment for granted. It could be over just like that! This was very inspirational to me. Thank you.

Yes indeed. Not sure I you're familiar with the comedian Sinbad - but his health was recently challenged too think he had a stroke. Don't know how well he's recovering or not, but he's still here.

Christal Young is to be commended for her sincere approach with AL B Sure during the interview. She asked meaningful questions in an open and honest manner and gave AL B Sure plenty of opportunities to answer thoughtfully and openly. Her sincere approach was refreshing and it was clear that she had a genuine interest in AL B Sure's story.
We can all agree ladies he was a heart throb. "Night and Day" is a tear trigger for me.

I can attest to my personal experience with him is that he is a good person. He helped me because I'm a good friend of his friend. And he didn't have to. Often gave me really good advice.

It's crazy how Al B Sure's son Quincy looks just like his father in his younger days. I'm so happy to hear that he has pulled through and I know it was by the grace of God. Hollywerid tried to take him out and didn't succeed. Amen!

Damn this is so sad see and hear. I’m glad he’s doing better. I’ve had a medical journey myself over the past 6 years, and it’s not easy being in and out of the hospital. I pray he stays well.

Love Al B Sure!!! I stole my little brothers cassette back in 88 when home on leave from the Marines just before i got out. Then, I'd listen to it endlessly on the beach every day in FL. I'd ride a mountain bike there so I couldn't carry many tapes. So Al won out!
Al B was the heart throb back in the 80's. I played his tapes and records to deaf when I was a teenager. I'm happy he's doing much better now🙏💖

Mr Sure, I know the battle I know the journey. My name is April and last year I wasn't in a coma as long as you but 26 days in a coma from covid and 57 days in between two hospitals. Learning how to walk and talk again losing your memory for whatever reason some things are gone and some things are still with me. At the end of the day praising God through it all I'm so grateful to be here and I'm grateful to see you're here. I don't remember anything I got a lot for my children and my mom telling me and my grandson and grandchildren. Being alive it's a beautiful thing whether it's a new normal or not

Wow, we have similar stories although I had pneumonia in 2020 and not covid. The pneumonia led to heart, liver and kidney failure. I coded twice and doctors told my family to disconnect life support. They refused. It was a surreal experience, and it's still difficult to process. I endured months of physical therapy. I'm thankful I survived but my life is forever changed. The most depressing thing is trying to live with permanent brain damage from lack of oxygen and not being able to work or do many things I previously enjoyed 😪😪😪
His song with David Bowie is amazing! ❤God bless Al
I'm so glad he is ok. It's a miracle they preserved his voice with a trach. What a nice guy and deserves all the success and happiness he can get.

Happy to see Al on the mend, and grateful for the mother that raised & instilled soundness, clarity, and wisdom. Peace & light to him and his entire family. I saw you all giving the interviewer her flowers on the job she did while interviewing Al B. Sure. She was very skilled but too handsy. A man would be frowned upon for being touchy-feely, and therefore, she should keep her hands to herself, and conduct professional & respectful interviews with our brothers. I'm Black, I'm proud, and I'm an advocate for the righteous brothers.

I was 8 years old when his single Nite and Day came out in 87/88! Love this man!! I am so glad he is recovering!
His humbleness is a blessing to all of us ... lol when there was no streaming music and you just had cassette tapes I remember Al B. Sure was a permanent fixture in the tape deck for an entire spring and summer..... that's it nothing else!

OMG, I was so in love with Al B Sure growing up and cant believe what has happened to him. I met him awhile go at a meet n greet and would never know this was him if I saw him on the street, he doesnt even sound the same. Wow the liver is the only organ that can regenerate itself so the fact that he needed a liver transplant shows how badly damaged his was. Luckily for him he was given a chance because you put any old liver in the body it has to be a match or his body will reject it. Treat your new liver and body with love, no alcohol or drugs and eat a alkaline high raw fruits and vegetables diet. You got this Al 👍🏾 stay blessed and lucky

I immediately knew that scar looked like liver surgery since I have a very similar scar. I'm so happy he is recovering well. Al B's poster was the last celebrity to grace my wall my freshman year of college. ❤

@@TheLoveweaver No, the liver is a large organ and the scar for a liver transplant, or in my case I had 75% of my liver removed, looks just like his in the same spot down the middle of the chest then out to both sides.

It appears to be liver failure, possibly caused by taking statins to assist with the cholesterol

Al B is a legendary old school soul music hit maker. He did a remake of the Eagles Hotel California and smashed it!!!..... his last CD I'm sure many aren't aware of, he did remake of MJs Lady In My Life and smashed it too!!!.... I'm a lifelong fan of his music and glad to know he's doing better. Keep healing my brotha and bring us more of that good soul music, it's much needed!!!
