The old man was proudly wearing clothes that identified him as a retired soldier, and happily greeted all the customers walking in and out of the restaurant. After observing the vet and overhearing what was being said between him and the waiter, the customer immediately called for the manager. But she was in for a big surprise.

Instead of saying, "Thank you for your service," they showed their appreciation by paying for his meals. Actions speak louder than words. ❤

A couple of years ago, diner alone at Outback, someone stopped to say Hello. Vet cap I guess. When I asked for my check, the staff said that fellow had already paid for my meal. Many great people out there. Thank you.

I see veterans everywhere l always tell them thank you and give them a salute. And tell them l appreciate your service by shedding your own sweat, tears and blood either stateside or aboard. This includes all service animals.

I spent 4 years in the Army. 1970-1974. I was to go to Vietnam but at the last of the orders I was sent to South Korea I was 17. I am 70 now and wish I could go back in but I know that won't happen. God bless all who are serving and those who lost their life serving🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I have been the recipient of a few free meals due to veterans status. I do not expect anyone else to pay my way, but I do appreciate it when someone appreciates the sacrifices I made to keep others safe. Desert Storm vet.

did here right they Sayed that the vet was 77 years old i find it hard to believe that this vet was still in the service for that long if he was drafted or even joined the military when he was young that would put his service at lest 40+ years if he was in the military from Vietnam to the first golf war and then time serviced in Afghanistan to and that was until 2021 an the world trade towers as a vet my self this story is a good one and i do appreciate it when any vet get the recognition from the people or perhaps but not noing how old this story really is it could be 20 minsor 10 years old but i digress is good to see a fellow vet geting some loveing

I love the veterans, but the back story of this video is so long,it takes away from what the video is sopost to be about. I love the veterans, but the story is for the most part, made up.
