Emily was getting worried. Old Jack had never missed his usual cup of coffee in all the time she had worked at the diner, but he had suddenly stopped showing up a few days ago. Perhaps he’d just gone on vacation, she thought. But the rude, grumpy veteran didn’t strike her as the kind of person who goes on vacations. She was the only one worrying for him, because nobody else really liked him. However, she’d always been nice to him, and they had built an odd bond that resembled a friendship. But one day she received a terrifying phone call, and she suddenly realized that she had been part of something way bigger than a simple friendship.

So sad that Jack passed away. So sweet that Emily got his inheritance as a gift to help her pursue her dreams.
I am so sorry that Jack passed away. From listening to Emily's story I almost feel like I knew the old man too and feel a loss also. For Emily at least now that she knows Jack had passed she should be able to feel like he had at least one friend in this world, her and the friendship they shared together even if he was a grumpy old man. I am happy to know that he left her with the money to fulfill her dreams and maybe have a little spending money left over. This story has left me with a sad feeling for the loss of a friend that I don't even know except through this story. Thank you Grumpy Jack for your kindness to Emily.

Reading down at some of the comments.. You all know that these types of videos only put up a visual display while you listen to the story. ... Right? The images are not a representation of a "feel good" story with a moral lean to it. Its the message you're supposed to come away with. Not the images.
