Can’t hold them against their will, and in most states, mental hospitals were shut down. I don’t understand why that happened. The government officials don’t care, because they and their families are protected from this. I can understand why other countries hate America and want to inflict harm. Problem is innocent people get hurt. What a country we live in.

Because years ago, people banned together and thought that mentally ill people were being ill treated, and some of them were and some of the footage that leaked out of the home for the mentally ill really was painful to watch, but a group got together and basically forced Reagan to pass laws to let them live on their ownand we don’t have enough social workers to keep tabs on them and family members can’t keep up with them. Some of these people who are mentally ill connect crimes and this is an example of that how sad😢

To the Dandan family: I’m sorry for your loss. But it’s not a mental health issue. She wasn’t his first victim. He has been victimizing women & others since long before 2013. This time he was simply caught. I’m so sorry the system failed your family as it has so many others. If he had been in jail for the 24 prior crimes he was actually caught for since 2013, and if Laura’s law had been applied, it’s very possible your aunt & his other victims would have been spared.

Horrifying way to die, I hope God spared her any pain and safely transported her soul to a very special place with Him. I don't have children either, I can relate with that lifestyle, it's hard being alone & childless but she sounded so full of life & love, kindness & selflessness. Tragic & senseless, horrible loss. First, because they’re punk cowards; and second, because they know they won’t face any serious consequences. The killer, Trevor Belmont, has been arrested 24 times in the past 10 years, but is still out wandering the streets of San Fran victimizing innocent people. But since the people of SF vote for far-left Democrats, this is what they have to live with.

Did we place Japanese people in interment camps? Nope!Did we drop an atomic bomb or colonize your native countries? Nope! Did we help change the immigration laws in the 1960s with blood, sweat and deaths so you can flee your failed homelands and enter this country? Yes! So sorry for your loss. Your aunt sounds like an amazing woman who left her legacy behind through her extended family that she supported and cared for . I was at a Convention in Nov 2023 and came and went from that station on several occasions to and from the Airport as well as other local stops. It was so striking to see such homelessness on the streets downtown as well as people on the trains and within the station who clearly had mental health issues and probable substance abuse problems exhibited at that station inside , outside , and even on the trains in such direct view. As an out of state visitor I could not believe how much had changed from prior visits over the years. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe and could only imagine how local residents who use your transportation daily must feel. You should demand change and accountability. My condolences to your family.
