Secret Wars focusing primarily on the Sony and Fox characters would be so surreal, and a cool nod to the comics. I always thought Spider-Man got along more with the X-Men and the Fantastic Four than the Avengers. If Spider-Man interacts mostly with Wolverine and Iceman, that'd be hilarious.

GHOST RIDER! That's the missing candidate. Nick Cage's Ghost Rider would be a great spanner to throw into the team up. Wolverine's begrudging yet determinate nature and Spider Man's optimistically wise outlook would be great to juxtapose with the crazy unpredictable and vengeful personality of Johnny Blaze. And how epic would it be to have Wolverine on the back of Ghost Riders bike, not looking too amused and Spidey swinging along side them.

A potential sprinkle on this cake would be a reference to Nicolas Cage being Noir in Spider-Verse. Maybe Tobey starts talking about Uncle Ben and Nicolas gets sympathetic and says something like "I know what that feels like"

I actually really love the idea that the pair have a pre-existing relationship, I can imagine Wolverine using his senses (likely smell) to recognise that it is the same Spider-Man who makes some sort of quip then we just crack on with the adventure Really hope they cross paths with the 2005 Fantastic 4 team and Ghost Rider too

As someone who used to team up Spidey and Wolvie in Marvel vs. Capcom, I like this idea.

I vividly remember reading the novelisation of Spider-Man, which in hindsight was based on an extremely early draft of the script. There were implications that other superheroes existed elsewhere. Peter makes references to Captain America and the Fantastic Four. It could be that there was never a need for them to meet up and form a team. If Tobey gets inspired by his visit to the MCU and forms his own team, that'd be awesome.

Jameson goes "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!" and the Doctor just introduces himself matter-of-factly with a slight veneer of cool and then continues running off from crazy Wanda. It would canonise the Dr Strange line in Spider-Man 2 and explain why Jameson knows that name, who has it and the fact that it's taken

Secret Wars needs to have a mix of 616 heroes and the legacy characters. I could see the main heroes being, Sam Wilson's Captain America, Tom Holland and Tobey McGuire's Spidermen, Benedictt Cumberbatxhs Doctor Tsrange, Hugh Jackman Wolverine, Weslje Snipes Blade, and Tom Hiddlesons Loki

This is the first place I've seen someone suggest a Wolverine and Raimi Spider-Man team up but it got me really excited

I like the idea that Blade, Hulk, Spider-Man, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Ghost Rider all take place in the same 2000s Marvel Universe. For extra effect you could even chuck in one of the three Punishers, from 1989, 2004, or 2008 respectively. Also possibly in Secret Wars we might get characters from the X-Men universe at the end of Legion.

I would love to see Ang Lee's Hulk again, it's honestly my favourite interpretation of the character!

I could imagine a subtle scene where someone is opening holes between realities and it cuts to one where you see Toby getting a chili dog as he look around to see the madness on the other side,dropping his chili dog and then Hugh Jackman who happens to be crossing the street to meet Toby peaks in from the side as the hole starts to dust away. 🤣

The Spider Man & Wolverine duo is legendary in the comics. I still love the mini series time travel story with the two.

I like the idea of a lot of characters having preexisting histories with different circumstances, but I feel like saying the worlds of the Fox X-Men and Raimi Spider-Man movies are the same just makes things messier than they need to be.

I kinda like the thought that they’ve heard of each other but maybe haven’t crossed paths yet. Something like “The wOrLd’S gReAtEsT sUpErHeRo finally leaves New York, huh?” from Wolverine would be pretty funny

At 3:35 - That storied familiarity which goes back before our POV and recorded memories of encounters feels like when our parents' friends meet up with each other (whether intentionally or by accident, it doesn't matter) and we, as children (even as adults) just stand/sit there and watch as they recall "The Good Old Days" (TM). Us seeing Tobey and Hugh in a movie like this, having Black Widow/Hawkeye or John Wick/Every goddamn one else in his world level dialogue would reduce us to the children we were when we first saw them. We'd be like when mum runs into her old pals or when dad bumps into his old mates. But it's NOT boring!

If I see Hugh, Tobey, and Downey on screen together in Secret Wars, I am going to lose my mind!

But the point I was making is that I think being so specific about what it is you want from Marvel is potentially gonna lead to disappointment. I guess that's the nature of speculation and discussion around these topics. It's fun, but it can give you expectations that creators might struggle to live up to.

I want these two to meet up with the original 6 avengers. Specifically Mcu hulk and wolverine, and raimi spider man and an iron man variant that has a similar if not the same history with Mcu Peter.

Bro, Tobey's Spiderman, Hugh's Wolverine and Wesley's Blade and we'll have the godfathers of superhero movies.

Bringing Blade in on this little ménage à trois might not be the best idea (I wasn't sure if you were joking at the end or not...), because while it's true that Blade and Spidey do go way back in the comics, the former always felt shoehorned into the latter's stories - they usually met up purely because the Bullpen had decreed that their Blaxploitation Van Helsing hadn't had enough to do since the Marvel Dracula comics ended and the IP needed an airing to keep the copyright alive. While they knew each other well enough to have a history, they never really had a proper rapport - orders came from On High that Blade needed to be let out for some exercise, so the Spidey editorial team threw out a Morbius-based storyline and had Eric just wander into town and _happen_ to bump into the Webhead while chasing the Living Vampire (despite the fact he'd been talked into leaving him be the _last_ time this had happened, and would doubtless be talked into it again by the end of the story). And that's another reason _not_ to introduce Blade in a team-up with Spidey... you _want_ Jared Leto in the MCU? Because _this_ is how you get Jared Leto in the MCU. I think (meme comedy aside) we could all live without Sony's Morbius turning up. Which brings up another concern - if you're going to bring Blade in _à la_ No Way Home, you're talking about bringing Wesley Snipes into the fold. Given the stories about his conduct on the set of Blade: Trinity (allegedly trying to strangle David S. Goyer) and the fact he went to prison (albeit for tax fraud) makes him a tough sell as a smooth fit with the MCU brand's image... and when you throw in Jared "Used Condoms Are Funny" Leto into the mix as well, I don't think a volatile combination like that is going to sit well with Disney execs. I definitely think Mustafa Ali would be an easier pill for the studio heads to swallow than Wesley Snipes - and introducing him in a movie that _wouldn't_ inextricably link him to Morbius would be a better idea. Where Spidey meets Blade, Morbius is never far away... so maybe save that particular revival for a different context. Hey, maybe we could get some other Marvel vampire-related shenannigans going in some more adult-rated niche MCU movies - or even bring him in on a Captain Britain & MI:13 movie...? That would be comics-accurate, since Eric Brooks joined the team in the "Hell Comes To Birmingham" arc (and had some tense moments with his vampiric teammate Spitfire), plus it gives an excuse to throw in ex-Avenger The Black Knight _and_ some inclusivity with Faiza Hussain - and assuming Psylocke is now canon due to being featured in the FoX-Men franchise, there's already the pretense to bring in her brother Brian Braddock as Captain Britain. After all - it was in a Captain Britain comic where the Time Variance Authority and the phrase "Earth-616" were originally introduced, so if they're playing with alternate timelines and realities, how can you _not_ bring in the multiversal Captain Britain Corps at some point...? Seriously - for anyone reading this who has no idea what I'm talking about, you _really_ need to look up *Captain Britain* (at least from the start of Alan Moore's run in the' 80s onwards), the original run of *Excalibur* and _especially_ Mad Jim Jaspers. This was also during the time that Marvel UK had the Doctor Who licence, so there's some interesting crossovers with that (particularly Sly McCoy's Doctor) as well, via the wonderfully-silly character Death's Head (they even had a UK-US crossover story with the Fantastic Four). It's obscure British-made Marvel Comics stuff from the 1980s with a very quirky sense of humour, but it basically set up everything the MCU is now running with regarding parallel realities... the Americans liked the idea and retroactively applied it to any and all diverging timelines they had lying around (mainly in the X-titles, such as Age Of Apocalypse and Days Of Future Past), but it all started with Merlyn and Saturnyne in Moore's Captain Britain book. There doesn't seem to be much on KZread about this at the moment (and believe me I've looked - the only worthwhile stuff I can find is on a channel called RetroMarvelMan, who has only just gotten to the blue-suited good stuff in his serialised Captain Britain retrospective), but Wikipedia is a very good starting point for reading up on all this Marvel UK madness. It's a whole separate tangent from what would be considered the "mainstream" Marvel universe from the US comics, but there was more connective tissue than you would think at first glance. Might make for a good video on the comics origin of all this new multiversal MCU lore being introduced from Loki onwards, eh, Full Fat guys...? _(wink wink)_ (I think the original Knights Of Pendragon graphic novel is a bit too much of a deep cut though, and I don't think it had much to do with anything else going forward, so you can probably give that one a miss - unless you want to read Dan Abnett's ecological take on Arthurian legends... _God_ I love Marvel UK's '80s and '90s output!)

Facts

Never forget that Doctor Strange does exist in Tobey's universe, people know about him. I could conceive of many other heroes existing in the same universe, but as Spider-Man often is, he's typically doing everything himself than as part of a team. I'm also of the opinion though that the other Spider-Men in Now Way Home aren't even really the versions from the movies we saw, they're all very similar parallel variants, so I mean, it is the Multiverse, we could see another Tobey and it be one that actually knows how to fight as part of a team and teaming up with Harry in Spider-Man 3 wasn't just a fluke. Ugh, remember Spider-Man 3 when he and Harry finally team up and they are actually pretty synchronized symbolizing their friendship? So good. Okay, you've convinced me, let's see Spidey and Wolverine pull some combo moves and hint at a past history of superhero theatrics.

They glance around poised for further battle, expecting hawkeye (Kate or Clint DILLIGAF) Thomas Jane, Punisher reveals himself from cover, dual custom 1911s on chest making the outer teeth on his spray painted BA skull. Thomas Jane deserves a nod I'd say, after the love he put into 'dirty laundry'

I think main reason why there wasn't a lot of music and fight styles from older Spider-Men movies was because No Way Home in some sort was a experiment, so creators might thought that what it had was enough to satisfy older fans

A Maguire/Jackman team-up would already be a dream come true, but throw Thomas Jane's Punisher into the mix and people will really lose their shit.

Now this is the only they will get me to watch the next avengers multiverse films.

I personally think bringing Hugh Jackman back and keeping Wolverine our LEAD X-Men character ultimately hurts "Logan" as his final outing and delays the audience's ability to invest in a new team of X-Men. It feels like the MCU keeps delaying the introduction of mutants and the X-Men because they've been waiting for Secret Wars to bring all the Fox X-Men back for their cameo movie. Personally, I love recasting and giving new actors and artists the opportunity to tell new stories with these characters, and it feels like the MCU has been sitting on its hands with the X-Men because they want to bank on nostalgia a few more times. Maybe this isn't totally related to your point. If they are going to have Tobey and Hugh Jackman in this movie (which they are, all signs point to it), then I agree I'd like them to share some real screen time, I just personally wish they hadn't made that choice to begin with 🤷‍♂️

I wholeheartedly agree! Thank you for this video! The MCU really needs to work on their musical continuity though. It isn't enough to just see them, music has the power to trigger memories and feelings. Let the classic score compound the impact of seeing the classic character. With that said, though they are two very different movies X-Men: Days of Future Past packed more of a punch than Spider-Man: No Way Home because not only did they bring back their veteran actors to work with the new ones but they had their veteran filmmakers behind the camera return too. Personally I want the classic filmmaking style back, the careful attention to detail in the writing, the camera work of Newton Thomas Siegel and Bill Pope, the fight choreography, Danny Elfman and John Ottman's scores like you said, Sam Raimi in the director's chair, Beast, Nightcrawler, and Mystique's make-up, Doc Ock's puppet mechanical arms so that the actors have something tangible to work with, the action set pieces like Nightcrawler in the White House and Spidey vs Doc Ock on the train. I don't want for everything to be CGI like the Hobbit. Alas, the magicians behind those tricks may have moved on to other things. In this life there are no Infinity Gems or portals that will bring all of those talented people back to make more. Our lives change, our schedules are fully booked, some folks pass on, some grow too old to do the stunts, some lose interest, some directors get cancelled and so on. It is nice to dream but the last time I let myself get this excited it was in anticipation for the Multiverse of Madness. There's so much more that I would like to say but now I'm cross-eyed and I imagine that I lost the audience. Bottom line: loved the video. Got my creative juices flowing. Keep up the good work sir!

Tobeys Spider-Man’s movies are my favourite I would love to see him and Hugh meeet it would be amazing

I love this! I think it would be interesting if the MCU universe (Earth 199999/ Earth 616) is the only universe in the live action marvel universe in which the Avengers team exists. Hence the MCU timeline being dubbed the “sacred” timeline. Therefore every other live action marvel legacy universe can have every Marvel superhero team except the avengers. Maybe the “Illuminati” could replace the “avengers” of every other universe

I think Andrew Garfield, Charlie Cox and Ryan Reynolds Deadpool, Spider-Man and Daredevil would be another group/sub plot I would love to see. I think it makes sense.

In no way home when Peter one brings up the avengers, I would’ve liked for him to explain it’s a super hero team and for Toby to say no we don’t have any avengers but we have the X-Men in the fantastic four.

Just Imagine these Two Leading a team of Eric Bana’s Hulk,The Tim Story Fantastic Four, Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider,Wesley Snipe’s Blade,Ben Affleck’s Daredevil,Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool(Maybe Arnold’s Conan since Marvel’s Conan comics lead to interest for that film being made but there may be rights issues) alongside variants of Captain America,Iron Man,Dr Strange Moon Knight and Yellow Jacket and they alongside some of the MCU Heroes(perhaps A Redesigned Skaar,The New Captain America,Andrew and Tom’s Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch,Stinger and Shuri are the ones who alongside them actually defeat Kang in Secret Wars!)

@@FullFatVideos Yeah it should happen but it’s unlikely because Conan’s rights are complicated especially in film and Marvel doesn’t even have the comic rights anymore! Edit:I also know you said Thor should be the one to die but I think the characters who would be the best to lay down their lives are Scarlet Witch and Ant Man, with Scarlet Witch, she’s turned bad and if we’re assuming that she’s trying to redeem herself, she could have a moment in Secret Wars maybe where Kang tempts her with A timeline where she gets Tommy,Billy,Pietro and Vision all back and alive however Wanda now more developed, resists and uses her magic to restore the Multiverse though it physically destroys her body in the process, as for Ant Man(assuming Scott survives Quantumania, if not him then I think White Vision would be a good benchmark for Kang to take down without even breaking a sweat) he could go subatomic to take Kang down for once all as Kang’s armor is damaged and is about to explode, after Kang is tired and exhausted by the much more powerful members since Ant Man can’t take him 1v1! Also The next villains they should go with after Kang are either Dr Doom or And hear me out on this, The Maestro(an Future Hulk who has gone insane from radiation!)

I think it'd be cool if Spider-Man and Wolverine are both at older and wiser points in their life. Peter has a kid and Logan's had a family or 2 and taught Laura some things. They don't have to be old though I'm sure you could do younger versions and still make it work

I dunno about the leaps and acrobatics with Wolvie there Hoss, looks great sure sure, but all I'm saying is full metal jacketed skeleton my dude. My vision of Wolvie is that the duder leads with his chin and goes full on smashmouth through the trash mobs all the way to the Boss and enjoys making that big bad choke on watching his whole org die before his eyes defending him. Then he has a cigar.

I would like to see them know each other, but from different universes. Like logan will be all “yeah you helped the xmen with this!” And tobey will go “…no, we never did that. We’re drinking buddies!” Like they are good old friends but with differences because of the fact that they are from different universes

Imagine if the villains and Heroes all team up to fight Kang

There is a leak going around that Secret Wars will be from the multiversal heroes perspectives whilst Kang Dynasty will be from the MCU heroes meaning that these two will have alot of time together.

The X-Men post credits scene for Spider-Man was a contractual thing to get Marc Webb out of his deal to do a movie for Fox so he could do that Spider-Man film.
