No spoilers but Logan was the best XMen/mutant movie created. Compared to the other ones, this one was straight raw. Not a lot of special effects, no over acting, not too many jokes, the gore was amazing. What makes this one stand out was the straight emotions that you felt. It was amazing.

You obviously didn't stay after the credits for X3 or you'd know how Xavier was back.

Actually Xavier's coming back is hinted at in the post credits or mid credits of X3: the last stand. we're shown a comatose body in a hospital with MOIRA MCTAGGERT. in the comics Xavier has a twin brother who is brain dead because of Xaviers strong psyhic powers. Xavier simply transfers his mind into his brain dead twin ( because movie) and Voila he's back

I dont like the idea that the comatosed body is his twin brother (who is also paralysed). I accept that he placed his mind into the body. But what I take from the "your not the only one with gifts" is that another mutant somehow was able to reconstruct Xaviers body (similar to how mutiple man worka) and xavier put his mind back inside it.

In Origins, Stryker says he's been working with mutants for 20 years. The US government didn't know mutants existed until the events of First Class in 1962. That would place the majority of Origins in 1982 and contrary to the "15 years" comment from Xavier, both X1 and X2 are set in 2000 based on the *NSYNC song, the HDTVs, and the timestamp of the blackbird photo.

@@ciaranmurren That would mean that the Vietnam war scene is in 1973 but Days of Future Past contradicts that scene by putting Wolverine in New York on the same day Mystique killed Trask. Also, Gambit says to Wolverine that nobody would sneak into Three mile island without turning into freaks. This would suggest that the nuclear disaster had already happened.

Basically. Wolverine's life consists of fighting in the Civil War and both World Wars. His cameo in X-Men First Class when Xavier and Magneto tried to recruit him at the bar in 1962. He took part in the Vietnam War and everything that happened in X-Men Origins. Then everything that happened in the original X-Men Trilogy and the Wolverine where he goes to Japan. Then the Sentinel War happens like at the start of Days of Future Past which takes place in 2023. Logan's mind is sent back in time into the body of his 1973 self. He changed history and created a new timeline. So Logan's mind went back to 2023 which was now changed and happy like at the end of Days of Future Past. Because his mind went back into the future, his normal 1973 self woke up after being dragged out the River. He was captured by Trask and ended up being experimented on and breaks out in 1983 like we saw in Apocalypse. In between 1983 and 2023, Logan joined the X-Men at some point, obviously having no idea of what happened in 1973 when his future mind possessed his body, therefor having no memory of Charles or Magneto. He carried on with the X-Men until 2023 when his future mind went back into the body. Then in 2029, the film Logan happens.

Pretty much. Logan did know who Charles and Magneto were in 2023 though because he initially met them in 1962 before the timeline split so his alternate timeline self would have still remembered that at least vaguely

The after credits scene in x3 shows xavier waking up in a bed in a hospital and talks to a nurse called moira who knows its charles. presumably (as in the comics this is the case) this was charles' twin brother who was in a vegetative state and charles had transferred his consciousness into him. The doctor who was looking after his brother had likely been told that charles intended to do this in the event of his untimely death. plz like so everyone can know how xavier came back.

Dude do you know if you break your hand, you need physical therapy to regain the rotor motion. Charles hasn't used his legs for over 2 decades. So I doubt once he changed bodies he could've immediately got up cuz he dosent have use for the rotor action to move. Not to mention that everything went so fast to the point of the wolverine. So I doubt he had enough time for therapy and instead just stuck to the wheelchair.

I know nothing about Logan (going to see it Saturday so please no spoilers!) but from the trailers he seems to be around 50% gray-headed now. If we look at how long it took his sideburns to gray then we can kinda guess this is at least a couple decades after DoFP. So my hope is that there were at least a couple decades of happiness and Professor Logan...

We can wonder if Logan is truly a part of the DOFP timeline since it is said in the movie that no mutants were born for 25 yearsn since Logan = 2029 and the new future of DOFP = 2020's. It is not in compatible, but a little strange since DOFP's new future seems to be kind of perfect. Hard to believe that the world turned so bad in less than a decade. Moreover, in Logan there are a lot of references to the first trilogy. On the other hand, Apocalypse (so the new timeline) introduced the X-23 thing with Essex Corp. Finally, it could be problematic that the future is already written when the next X-Men movies will follow Apocalypse, with the young mutants. Knowing that they are destined to fail in their fight for mutants acceptance is kind of depressing. I think that we should see Logan as an independent movie, but connected to the other movies in a sentimental way.

Yeah, i see it as a possible alternative future. You are right. The DOFP future and Logan are not compatible as being in the same reality. It would make more sense if Logan took place 20 years after DOFP.

One problem with that theory is that it would make Xavier 110 years old in Logan. He would've been already dead before he reached that age so that would make the whole movie illogical.

@@Halloweenman33 I doubt that. The ending of X-men: Apocalypse sets up the events of Logan.

"How the heck is Xavier alive after being blown to smithereens by Jean Grey in the Last Stand?" They didn't outright state it but *HEAVILY* implied how in the Last Stand. The post-credits scene showed his twin brother, who'd been comatose and brain dead his whole life waking up and speaking. The obvious implication was Xavier transferred his consciousness into his, effectively, dead twin. Not rocket science.

Great video. In the Logan movie at the beginning they did revel on the radio in his limo that is was the year 2029.

Great video with an easy timeline, just got to point out that in X3 the last stand they acctually shows the man charles "jumps into and recreate himself" and a post-credit scene where you hear charles say something from that braindead body to it's caretaker. so they did give us more than just "you're not the only one with gifts" 😊

So in X3:Last Stand, in the actual movie, Professor Xs gives a speech about is right for someone to take over someones else's body by using their powers, if that person can't use their body anymore. THEN in a delete/never shot scenes, after he is killed, he used his powers to transfer his min in two his brain dead twin brother's body, who was being watched over by Moira MacTagger. In the movies his brother never mentioned, and its not explained. You have to look it up. X3 was THAT bad.

Before Xavier got blown up in X-Men 3.. He uploaded his consciousness to his twin brother who was alive physically, but brain dead. That's canon, there's a scene you can search for.

Post credits scene in X3, Xavier transfer his consciousness to a brain dead coma patient (his brother). The movie has a scene towards the beginning with Xavier discussing the morality of doing such a thing. It even shows a video of the nurse talking about the patient. Somebody at IGN didn't do their homework.

In Apocalypse heres and explanation on how Stryker got his hands on Logan. Apparently not to long after Mystique got a hold of him and aided him. Eventually Strykers men managed to find them and in an effort for mystique to save herself, she had to let wolverine get caught. This however took a toll on mystique and she vowed never to leave a mutant behind, thus she made it her life's work to help and relocate lost mutants.

Why logan is not aged in movie "X-men days of future past"? This movie takes places in the future and hes regeneration's power still working..
