@@madisynissaquah243 What a strange comment. Jennifer Lawrence hated the work required to created the character that Rebecca Romijn flawlessly and effortlessly portrayed. Hence her horrible, mail-in performance. She (along with the producers who centered the storylines on her) ruined a franchise with unlimited potential and a fanbase that had been overwhelmingly excited to see their favorite property envisioned on the big screen. So, no, I don't Jennifer Lawrence. I do hate what she did to the franchise. It's sad, though not surprising, that the groupthink mentality would have you think that criticism of a casting choice and performance equates to political leanings.

@@madisynissaquah243 Jennifer Lawrence was no Mystique, mate. Pretty pathetic to try and smear someone as a Trump supporter over their opinion on a movie performance. @@SquidzitAce I know that these are movies based on comics, but casting Jennifer Lawrence - an uneducated dropout that doesn't have even a GED - as Mystique was a horrible idea. I believed Rebecca Romijn as Mystique. Whether it was a combination of the acting and directing, it was believable. Jennifer Lawrence is not a good actress. Even film actors not trained in theater need a certain amount of wit to sell their characters. Jennifer's roles are unbelievable because it's her "pretending" to be a character. Not underrated at all. Everyone agrees this is the best Xmen movie and one of the better super hero movies overall. The only bad part about this is what came after.
Love Hugh's acting chops more than the physical ones, he leads the role so assertively and good lines written for him not the easier fare other actors around get, seemingly always as if still rehearsing along on their lines
James McAvoy has to be the best actor out there. Every time I see him in something he has the most brilliant acting and portrayal of emotions. I know a lot of people shit on Glass, but he's absolutely fantastic in it.
The “cmon beastie” sounded just like the cartoon version
0:07 I love this exchange. 2:19 to 2:33 It’s a good thing Logan said that. Charles definitely started to believe him here. Logan’s character development was incredible throughout the films.
I have goosebumps watching this. I forgot how good that movie was.

This was probably my favorite X-Men film. I really hope we get an X-Men film series that does the comics Justice.
That moment when you realize that when Charles said "he look slightly familiar" he is making a reference to Xman First class when they are recruiting mutants, and they try to get Wolverine to join but he just says "fuck off" and they leave. The fact that he remembers that, let alone what Wolverine looked like after seeing him for only 5 seconds, was enough to even recognize the future version of him.

Underrated movie for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a plot involving time travel where a wise old man needs to send a younger man he helped guide back in time to guide a younger him. It’s such a neat concept. Edit: since people in comments keep bringing up movies with superficially similar plot points like Terminator and Back to the Future, while disregarding the nuances to what I said. This move features a wise elder person who needs to send a younger person, who he once guided and nurtured, back in time so that they could in turn guide and nurture the younger version of the wise older person. That’s the unique nuance and character motivation/ interaction that makes this plot neat. I’m not gonna argue further. It’s tiresome, and silly. I was commenting on an aspect of the movie I enjoyed. I don’t know why people feel the urge to waist time arguing about it. If you can’t see the nuance of this plot line and character interaction then w/e.
