As a Akita owner 4 life I completely agree he's been well socialized and everything .Well done for the owners he just took it like a champ .I will say this he's got excellent markings like the color on him.Big best head whole works .One thing I do like about the Akitas they are true companions and loyal to their owners no questions about that.

They are independent and can be stubborn. That's why good training is so important.

I don't think I've EVER seen such a calm and well behaved dog! What an amazing credit to his owners!

For a 1 year old dog, that's awesome. Ours was a "Typical Teenager", according to my Mom, until he turned 2.

It’s incredible what proper breeding and good pet parents can do. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a perfectly behaved akita.

THIS!! I’ve rescued multiple dogs in my lifetime. However our last two dogs have been from breeders. Our vet said our boy Shih Tzu is a “perfect specimen of a Shih Tzu” and encouraged us to show him. Instead, we had him neutered. 🤦🏻‍♀️ But we’re starting the process of therapy dog training. Not all therapy dogs have to be Golden’s or Bernese Mountain Dogs, right?

I would like to know where Kuma is from. I have had two Akita's and lost my Meiko last September. Kuma looks just like Meiko.

Haru has a better temperament for a dog that hasn't been groomed before - even better than some dogs that HAS been groomed before.

You can tell how hard his owners have worked with him and what a sweet temperament he has too. Love how he sat so quietly at the door waiting to go out as well. What a good boy!

The way his ears perked and his eyes lit up when you said "Good boy" while brushing his face 😍😍😍🥺🥺🥺 he really was a good boy and he knows it!

What an adorable little bear, so polite and well-mannered, congratz to the owner.

That's not a dog. That's a teddy bear. Outstanding representative for his breed. Beautiful, well mannered, what more could you ask for.

Haru has done very well for his 1st grooming session. I have to give credit to his owners for training him to be extremely well-behaved.

Haru has clearly been watching the videos of the other akita grooms so he knew how to behave like a good boy😊

Seems to me like Haru did very good for a first groom. Excellent large puppy.

Best nose scratch ever. Haru is such a sweetheart.

What a stellar disposition Haru has! He looked just gently curious about the whole process, even pleased that you were raking all the itchy stuff off his face. Owners and breeder both did a fine job with this boy. And you must have fingers of steel to get to the bottom of that coat. I bet the Canadian winters just bounce right off him.

Haru is a magnificent ambassador for his breed. What a good boy for his first professional groom. ❤

That's dogs temperament is unbelievable, those owners are doing good work with him, he is a beauty!

That's my KT!! We love her so much! We just had to take a pic of our her in her new Girl with the Dogs bandana! Kt is a good girl of 1 year and 2 months. She is a lab mix, but we have no idea with what. We got her at 8 weeks from an unscrupulous FB market place seller. A week later we took her to the vet and found she had parvo. Two days inpatient and 4000 dollars later, she came home and made her home in our hearts. I am so glad we saved her! We love watching your channel and all your wonderful work with rescues that you so selflessly provide.

I remember watching you about a year and a half ago when we didn't have any dogs- I suggested you to my parents and, all of a sudden, we have two dogs! They're both schnauzers, one being a mini schnauzer and the other being a maltese and schnauzer mix. We absolutely love them!

@@rdavis4545 I agree! They're super cute. Our chocolate mini schnauzer has an underbite and it makes her look like a little gremlin sometimes 😭 It's not visible unless she gets some of her beard in her mouth, so after she eats she goes full gremlin mode!

Oh Haru is so handsome and so well behaved for a 1 year old... He is a only a puppy. His personality is so sweet and just think how sensitive and gentlemanly he will be when he becomes fully grown. I hope he keeps coming to you for his groom His owners have been brilliant teaching him manners.

@@VishalGTitus American Akitas are not typically aggressive toward people, but they have been bred for highly developed protection instincts. If an American Akita decides you are a threat to it's owner/family then you will be having a bad day.

Hard to believe he was so chill for his first ever professional groom! Truly the goodest of boys, as well as being just undeniably handsome!

10/10 for his owners. They must have researched the top breeder and spent a _lot_ of time training him. Considering that was his first ever groom, and neither owner needed to be present to calm him, they've done an outstanding job and got a stunningly handsome, outstanding dog. I think we should wait until his second appointment to see what he's really like though!

My childhood dog was a sweetheart Akita. Seeing a young fella like this reminds me of his (and my) puppy days ☺️

That dog looked like a job and a half to clean, and that was WITH his outstanding behavior. I can only imagine how difficult it would have been to groom him if he hadn't been into it.

His behavior says alot for his temperament and his people. I handle/touch most of my dog most every day to keep her able to cooperate with the staff at the vets.

I adore chill, large dogs. It looks like Haru just naturally has a laid back personality. Considering how long is must have taken, it's amazing that he didn't lose his patience. He must have felt great after that bath though, to finally have his skin fully washed.

Wow! Kudos to Haru's humans and breeder for raising such an incredibly well mannered gentle giant! Haru is an impeccable ambassador not just for American Akitas but for large dogs (for people who many be intimidated by them) as well. I can just picture a couple little kids crawling all over him, dressing him up, and generally treating them as a furry toddler!

So, so gorgeous. It's easy to see why (Japanese) Akitas are considered national treasures. That temperament... for a dog that has never been groomed and is so young, his people deserve a medal.

Seeing a dog challenged with a new experience, who has never had his trust challenged by his humans, is just a joy. He wasn't sure but trusted you anyway.

I've never seen such a well behaved... well, anyone... EVER get groomed before. Whatever his family did with this fine gentleman. They did a heck of a job..
