Halfway through this video then I noticed Jake B. Shirt thinking Vice City poster. Likely a coincidence. Love this channel!

I don't know how I feel about Ciri being the protagonist of Witcher 4. Doing so would have to canonize that ending of the game, whereas Witcher 3 kept it open enough that any of the choices you made in Witcher 2 worked with the story of 3, and certain other decisions were able to be imported over (even if they didn't have the biggest impact). That, and the fact that Ciri isn't a traditional witcher, she didn't under go the mutations and isn't supposed to be able to take potions (except in the ending of Blood and Wine when Witcher Ciri visits your vineyard, she mentions taking Black Blood when fighting a vampire). Then again, Ciri has her elder blood powers, which could make for a different kind of interesting gameplay. But that also might feel like the kind of thing that, as a playable character, feels incredibly nerfed compared to how powerful she's supposed to be.

Let me put it this way. I want a Witcher. Is it Geralt, is it a different Witcher? Is it a different time? I don't care. I want a Witcher. Ciri... is not a Witcher... she's just been kinda raised by them I guess and all, she deserves a spin off game/series, not a sequel/reboot. I think they're gonna make you create a character, that's my bet.

If it's just from a gameplay perspective I'd have no issue with that, as long as he specifically refers to the gameplay mechanics and not the story, themes or characters. Witcher 3 was their best game and one of the best games of all time. Following in the wake of this game is the best thing they could do.

The smartest thing an old person ever told me besides “don’t get old“, is “if it works, don’t fix it.“ Man they can just use the old Witcher 3 UI and slap a good story into that and I’d be happy.

​@@cenciende9401 1 and 2 were bad in a LOT of ways (even if there were great games buried beneath all the poop). They were broken, so it made sense to fix them. Witcher 3 is not broken. There's some things that could be improved, like adding some more depth to combat. The vast majority of it should mostly stay put though.

Sony dropped it because Saber wokified it.

Hopefully they improve the movement mechanics in Witcher 4 so moving Geralt around doesn't feel like a spoon in a bowl of oatmeal anymore.

It's a game I really want to love. I've tried a bunch of times, including since the update. Sometimes I'll get a decent way through but I always end up bouncing off. Its not the games fault, I can see why people love it. Everything about it should be something I enjoy. I just always fall off. I think I'm going to try again later in the year. Maybe make it the only game I'm playing as opposed to having at least a couple at the same time.

I'd very much like to see a remake of Kotor. It is one of my favourite games, next to the FF series and Legend of dragoon. As for Tekken 8, pro tip to get more people involved could be to get rid of the in game purchases. There a probably a lot of others that agree that that kind of thing is a big deterrent. It's one of the reasons I didn't enjoy T7, because they made you pay for core characters. The Witcher 4 looks amazing just in the art styles so far and I am fully looking forward to playing the next series of games in the franchise. I am hoping that Dragon age 4 will be coming out soon too. Currently I am enjoying my first play-through of Diablo iv, which is a little overdue but was worth the wait as it's pretty good so far. Great video and thanks for the updates!

30fps no doubt on consoles..but on ps5 pro..when it releases mostly due to the pssr upscaling we might get a steady 60fps...not sure though it depends on how well cdpr optimises the game.

Witcher is life. Happy to hear anything, but also what a great update to get. I don't think they have to reinvent the wheel but getting more involved/tactical sword combat and a revamp to potion/oil usage would be cool. I can only imagine how big and beautiful the world will be! Excited to learn who the protagonist is too!
