Gregg Turkington is a fucking god and you can’t live your life the right way with all that negativity. I’m a Gregg-head. He really knows his movies. The show isn’t about motorcycles or Japanese women, it’s about MOVIES and Gregg HAS AN EXTENSIVE COLLECTION OF VHS TAPES. TIM HAS A DEAD SON.

patio87 Like others, I think that the phrase "what a treat" just says so much. So chock full of enthusiasm. What a treat to even talk about "what a treat." Makes anyone want to enjoy treats. Well, maybe not treats plural. I would have to say that "what a treat," with its indefinite article, speaks to the simple joys of enjoying something down to earth, just one thing so that it can be "what a treat" instead of "what a bunch of treats." No one likes a bunch of treats.

Tim is such a pro. He can literally watch movies and choose Oscar picks with his eyes closed.
The opening shot of Tim is probably one of the best surprise sight gags ever created.
Greg is slowly but surely encroaching on Tim's role as host. Today he reads the cards, who knows maybe we'll see him in the opening next week.

Tim trying to matter of factly explain how he goes from... illegal parking in a handicapped, Tellin the bitch to "shut up", And explaining how he hurt him self trying to "go at her", is potentially one of the funniest things I have ever seen and I always feel grateful when I rewatch the series and end up forgetting about it til moments before.

how do they keep straight faces during this
Tim's completely earnest reiteration of how he was blinded due to an accident on a stationary bike is possibly the funniest thing Ive ever heard, to me personally at least...It doesn't seem to be super often cited in the "greatest moments" so maybe its my weird niche or dumb humor, but this has basically shaped my comedic sensibilities for the past few years. "Guy who matter-of-factly retells a story where he is wounded/embarrassed while being an overtly horrible person bordering on irredeemable followed by a confident retelling as if the entirety is totally understandable and not embarrassing" is a very rich vein in comedy, despite how niche it sounds when I long windedly categorize it.

I could detect an aura of pure satisfaction in Gregg's face as Tim told us about how an angry old woman was needlessly harassing him. I have to wonder, where was Gregg on the day Tim suffered this tragic injury? I've heard repeated eyewitness reports stating Gregg was at that same Walmart on that day trying to buy more blank VHS tapes to illegally record the films he sees in movie theaters. So far Gregg has refused to take a lie detector test regarding his alibi on that day. It should also be known that he has been seen many times before and after the incident with the old lady in question. This "man", if you can call him that, has a lot to answer for.
"With Dwayne Johnson, who is my rock"
The bit where he says "said the boind man" is my favourite thing in the whole of this series

I gotta say I think the move to Jackson's Hole has really worked wonders for Tim. This episode is the healthiest and most at ease I've ever seen him. We all know Gregg's business is dirty and he shows so much disrespect but Tim is now able to not let Gregg pull him down and can really have fun with the show in his own way. And with five-bagger movies like 'Hercules' on the On Cinema slate I ain't complaining!

Episode 1 of decker was nice.
Who's the wise guy working the ratings overlays putting up Gregg's Rating during Tim's review.
Following Joe Estevez ALL DAY?! Talk about a dream assignment!
For Tim's rating they wrote "Gregg's Rating" instead. Funny, they do that on the episode were Tim can't see so he can't notice the coup occurring before him? I wonder how Gregg feels about taking advantage of the blind like that.
I have to say I think Gregg did a great job this week and certainly stepped up to the plate regarding the HUGE responsibilty of reading from the cue cards.

Gregg's attitude recently has been disgusting. That remark about having nothing positive to say about Decker is the last straw. He's clearly jealous of Tim's position as host, his motorcycle, and his acting skills. I think Gregg should be replaced as guest of the show, maybe bring back Aiyaka.
@dubitataugustinus

Are you serious? if you consider yourself a TRUE fan of On Cinema, then you just can't be. The only thing Gregg has done the last episodes and, why not saying it, during the whole show, is saving it from Tim's own lack of professionalism. I mean, just hear the way Gregg reads the titles, showing that he does not only know the REAL names of the actors, but also that he's well traveled and educated (would he punch an old lady? nope). So yeah, I agree that he should be replaced... by Tim!! so Gregg can finally take his place as host, which he deserves.

Gregg didn't have anything nice to say about Decker because it was horrible. Tim really fucked up. Tim needs to leave On Cinema and just leave it to Gregg as he clearly has no idea what makes a good movie.
@DandySteps

Honestly, I think Tim is making too much of a big deal out of "Decker." I mean the idea of the film is nice and all, but its just too poorly executed. If he really wants to succeed he's going to need a producer or two. That said, Gregg really could use an attitude adjustment, I mean there's no need to hurt Tim's feelings like that.

My favourite episode of On Cinema
It's interesting how the injury on the right side of Tim's face effects his vision in his left eye. Yes, I understand his vision in his left eye is subpar but that had never effected his eyelid. He keeps that eye shut the entire episode. This leads me to believe there was a neurological issue involved in his accident. Other than that, this was a subpar episode. Tim's clearly whacked out on pain meds and this leaves too much responsibility for Gregg to bear. As we know, Gregg cannot carry his weight in water when it comes to being any type of thing resembling a co host (which he is not).
