Winter Warmer: Bolt Action Tropical Fallschirmjager from Artizan and more....

This is my Winter Warmer update. I’m showing my Tropical Fallschirmjager from Artizan miniatures, a few additions to the Berlin table terrain as well as some Ottoman artillery guys and officers from the First World War. Thanks for watching and keep those brushes moving. 🎨🤓🤘🏻

Beautiful work as always! I love the bombed out post office. Lots of details that add interest and help tell the story. I liked the legs sticking out of the rubble! Lots to look at. Kinda like a where's Waldo book :)

You found the one set of legs, but there are two. lol. I kind of felt guilty using German newspapers that would have been over a decade old floating on the streets. The body parts are Tamiya 1/48 crew men from the model kits I buy. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. I had a lot of fun doing that building, going through the internet and finding posters and scaling down old documents, getting the bluestuff out and epoxy casting that eagle. I'm finding now that doing terrain and scenery is really fulfilling. I think I'm going 'full nerd' on this one. lol

Great work James! Love everything..you did a great job on those FJ. Your hobby work is great but i always admire how your scale modelling skill comes to the fore when you are doing vignettes and building where one can see your dio-work. I loved the church used as the building here..the grand arch windows have really made it scale agnostic and i intend to steal your idea in the future, but its the details that make it so good..the paers lying around and banners/posters are brilliant!! great job! Regards, Dan

Thanks, Dan. The terrain I've been putting together for this game is 1/35 and 1/72. lol. I inherited those kits somehow and thought they'd be good as terrain. I did try and hunt down some old verlinden stuff in Tokyo on Saturday, but there were no buildings but just a lot of etched parts and figures. One thing I'm trying to endevour to do with the scenery is to make it figure friendly. So, they can actually stand on the steps, or like with the post office, have a platform to put some figures on by the windows so they can actually shoot and be shot at. I've been listening to your podcasts now when i'm painting. I'm working my way backwards through them, so a lot of old news, but some good points along the way. Your brother asked me to email some photos of the FJ. Should I do that through Valhalla games.net?

Thanks, Dom. I've been maximizing my inner gaming model nerd for this scenery. lol. I still have another Berlin house in the cupboard to do. The Berlin game is happening in the first week of February. I've even got a new USB drive coming to clear up a lot of photos and videos to make room for it. I'm hoping to edit it and tart up the video as a battle report. But, short answer, yeah, I'll be showing the game pretty soon.
