This is my gaming channel which I use to browse, comment upon and hopefully post wargaming related videos. I see myself more of a miniature painter rather than a gamer as I only get to game about once a month....if I'm lucky, but find time to paint daily. I live way off the unbeaten track of the fairly beaten track and in being so isolated use KZread as a means to keep up-to-date with the games I play (primarily Bolt Action now) as well as what's going on in the gaming world in general.

Nicely done James.👍👍One of my relations by marriage, was killed on the 9th April 1916 in Mesopotamia.
Fantastic work, James!
Great video. This video I will go back too when I start looking into my pile of shame with ancient. 👍
Cracking Job James, love the unusual armies you find mate, just been catching up mate, sorry for the delay
Brilliant job James, they look excellent mate
Cracking job job James, love the beastmen
Excellent brush work as aways James. Your rate of output is inspiring.
Cheers, dude. Production is going to drop off here soon. It was 37 today and humid up the wazoo.
Looking very nice Jame. Beautiful work. Those cows make me think of the movie "Top Secret" ebery time!
Cheers, Cal. I always like to sneak the livestock in when I get a chance.
Fantastic figures buddy 👍👍
Thank you very much.
Always love the more unusual armies. Excellent looking army as always
Thank you, Dom! I appreciate the praise and the appreciation for the minor powers. Always fun to delve into the corners of WW2.
I thought those were Chinese at first with those blue uniforms. I need to make a Norwegian army someday, if I live that long. ;)
Looking at them now, they could be a bit darker but it is what it is at this point. I still want to do the Commie Chinese, but I can't afford the Warlord exchange rate these days. Sticking to the stash until next year.
@@jvcpaints LIES! LIES! Brother, you got a 3D printer and I can get ya the stls on the cheap and you can print up a whole division of them Red bastards if you want. ;)
@@weirdwwii8775 I got a bit on the go here if things go according to plan.
Great stuff James. I remembered watching “Narvik” on Netflix last year and learned a bit about the battle in Norway in 1940. Your soldiers look great. 👍
Thanks, Mark. My next video will be WWI Middle Eastern Commonwealth guys. I've just got to finish off some of the weapons.
@@jvcpaints I’ll be eagerly awaiting that. 👍
Beautiful work mate
Cheers, Justin.
A good looking force James well done marra 👍. Regards Gav.
Thanks a lot, Gav. Always appreciated.
A very nice army.
Thank you very much, Cristoph. I appreciate it.
Really nice work mate.
Cheers, Anthony. I hope you're doing well man.
I really loved the littel easter egg with that guy. I had to rewind it and watch it twice to catch it. haha. Not that hot and gross here. Just hot. Being here in general is gross.
Thanks, man. I heard the weather in TDot was getting to disgusting levels.
Excellent work and a great addition to the table!!
Thank you very much! And thanks for checking out the video too. Greatly appreciated.
Nice work James. An interesting exercise. 🙂
Thank you. Yes, I learned a lot and realized the amount of time I spend checking out the PC while painting is over 50%.
Great video mate. I did a similar one for painting warlord Epics
Thanks, Leon. I've gotten to that point I want to see how much time I actual use painting...and I'll figure out how much time I sit scroll through KZread or looking for certain movie clips.
Very nice James. Did you say "Avocado Wash"?!?! How millilenial! Lol
Lol. I did say avacado wash. It's my go to Green for things gold and world war II. I just bought some before the prices went up here by a good 25%
Very good job in a short time.
Thank you very much.
Wooo great result for the time! they look cracking man congratz
Thanks from the TRUE Speed Paint Wizard. I'm trying to see how long certain things take me so I can better project manage the shenanigans happening on my painting desk. If I know I can finishing something up quickly, I might be less inclined to leave the odd figure in half-way mode stuck in desk purgatory.
@@jvcpaints Yeee great idea I've started doing it and it does make.my life so much easier
Good idea for a video, next time someone asks me "how long does it take to paint one of those?", I'll have an idea of what to say
Thanks. It was a good first try, but I think if there had been more colors it would have taken longer. A unit of Napoleonics would probably be between 90 minutes and 2 hours just because of the details and all the colors. Who knows? I might try that some time too.
Nice project 👌 👍 fast painted
Thank you, Lucian. I'm looking on ways to get a few more minis done so timing the process seemed a natural thing to do.
Very nicely done mate
Thanks very much, Justin.
Υπέροχο, μπράβο! 👍👍
Thanks, Phil. (had to use Google Translate for this one.lol)
Excellent James. What was your process for the skin tones? Base color then wash then highlight? Cheers!
Thanks Mark. The flesh is a base coat of a color called Antique Maroon. It's an Americana paint. Then the first highlight is a Shaded Flesh color, like Dwarven Flesh from GW, but an Americana. Then, I give it a wash of a brick red. When that's dry, I do the eyes, then on the flesh I do a final highlight of a watered down light mauve. I use a 000 brush and have the magnifying glasses on.
They look Wicked! I bet the beer tally was very low during this haha
Yes, This was a period between benders. lol. I might have had one on the Saturday night after my eyes got tired. Thanks for the compliment. You gotta get your Romans out there buddy.
Right on, dude. Makes me want to dust off the Warhammer Ancients and drink that brand free grapefruit pop in a hot room down at the box. You got them done pretty quick and they look ready to rock and roll.
Show up with 28 and everyone is playing 15.....or $40K. I've been trying to see how to improve organiation to get through this mountain of stuff I have.
Brilliant video James the Spartans look great and the timing is great to see how long does it take for every activity! I have to say the phone has seen better days..😂😂
Thank you very much. Yeah, the edges of that phone are a wee bit chipped. lol
Nice one. I have to paint some Greek command in the next few weeks.
Thanks for checking it out. I have always liked your collage start to finish videos.I'm on an Ancients kick now and have two more units to do this summer to wrap up these Spartans.
Very good video great table layout 👍👍🤠🤠
Thanks for checking out one of the older battle reports! Thankfully my main opponent in this one is getting back into gaming more so we should get more games in.
That must have been a wonderfull show, the builds you shared were fantastic! Great coverage James, thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
It was a fun show with a lot of eye candy. A bit on the crowded side though.
@@jvcpaints hahaha, like every good show, it is to be expected
Very cool! 👍🏻
Thank you very much.
Very good work.
Thank you very much. It was fun to paint up.
Brits: "Haha, 3 artillery observers. Get dunked! Also paratrooper gurkhas!" Americans: "Haha, rangers in your deployment zone turn 0! Get dakkad!" Germans: "Haha, why did I take this tank, it's like 9/10s of my points. Holy shit why do I even play this fu...." Also Germans: "haha, nebelwerfer go SLOTTTTTTTTMACHINE." Soviets: "Haha, you only wound me on 6's! haha, 2 Katyusha and BM-30s! haha! hahahahahaahhaa! *Rockets*" Japanese: "ハッハッハッハッ BAMBOOOOOOO! TENNO HEIKA BANZAIIIIIII" Finns: "Ah, I see you touched your mini. I'm sorry, but he's already dead from my overwatch fire."
There was definitely some OP stuff happening. A few of the 3rd ed, changes have made it online. I'm reserving judgement until a lot more comes out.
Great brush work James. 👍
Thanks, man. I hope all is well in the middle of the TO-OTT-MTL triangle. Keep the faith, dude.
Looking awesome James. Hope you're well
Thanks, Cal. I'm doing a lot better. I reckon the kidney stones are gone for now. Less spinach and more water!
Superb painted figure, James. Very cool. With this detailed paintwork it will look great on the table. Best wishes and a nice weekend. Joachim
Thanks, Joachim. He's in the case now, but I might be passing him along to a friend who's into 40K.
Lovely work James
Thank you, Justin. Cheers for watching.
Nice challenge, nice painted. 👍
Cheers, Lucian. Hope your Middle Earth project is going well.

Thank you very much, Josh. I hope you're enjoying your sabbatical, man.
Super work m8 . Thanks for entering.
Thanks, Nick. Sorry I've been off the discourse. It absolutely was making the laptop slow as molasses in January. Looking forward to seeing everyone's stuff.
Good job, bud. Miles better than the Rogue Trader figures we used to paint back in the day.
Thanks. I still remember the day we found out about "primer". lol. It's been a long march!
Wow🎉 a some paint job. I still remember fondly the old 40K imperial beastmen. Nothing to do with this as far as design goes.
I'll see you next Saturday! Bring your vomit-proof drinking shoes. Dave is choppering in to school us both.
Well that’s a bit different. Do you play him with the Germans, Brits or Yanks? 😉
I play him with the WWI Ottomans. lol. Thanks, Mark. I have some WWI stuff coming up here pretty soon.
@@jvcpaints well I’m looking forward to that, but then I really enjoy all your figures and armies. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
