Warlord Games Gauls for Hail Caesar

The tree drama has come to a favorable conclusion! Huzzah! In celebration, I’ve finished every Gaul figure I had in the nerd bunker and made a quick video about my growing infatuation with ancient wargaming. There’s a brief sneak preview of my next Bolt Action Army at the end and some great comic writing work by a pupil of mine. Keep those brushes moving!

Cheers, Nik. I'd love to do an ancients battle rep someday, but I haven't seen my gaming mates in 9 months and we've all gone off on divergent projects. One guy is doing 1/72 WWII North Africa and one is getting a Dragon Rampant army done up. I will try and talk them into doing Republican Romans though. lol

Sometimes getting figures to sit on their bases properly can be a right pain in the ass. Warlord's Gauls are great figures but getting them on a 40mm base was too time consuming. The tree being gone has made everything here a lot more calm. No worrying and no arguing with Wifetronic.

Thanks, Ginz. I think you'll find them fun to paint. You'll see what a mission they are to base too. I think your brother will be by in about a month for his next beat down. It looks like it will be his early war Fallschirmjager taking on the Greeks. I suggested the Italians invading from Albania, but after I hammered him with inexperienced French in the Alps in June 1940, he retired his Black Shirt. lol

I have a terrible sense of fashion. lol. I buy a lot of my clothes at the hardware store like the old fart that I am. haha. I randomized their clothes by using three base colors on the 4 models I was doing at the time and then switching it up with the next bunch of models. You find out which tartans/stripes work and which don't pretty quick.
