I'm sorry to break it to you, but the score system in figure skating is so broken that, maximum score I've seen people (and myself) archieve is an average 3.0 to 3.5. I wanted to make a 10 or a 9 but it's literally impossible. The judges are corrupt!!

That's actually analog distortion, which is actually really cool albeit expensive. Basically he isnt recording his audio to a computer specifically and is possibly running it through some kind of tape machine.

I think James would sooner do that for LOTR Volume I on SNES.

Played that on C64 and Amiga. On those machines it was actually pretty decent. Mostly because it's a game designed for joysticks rather than gamepads.

One of the all time classics in my nostalgia meter.

I believe he once said that he have a lot of broken nes cartridges that don't work anymore. He destroys those cartridges. He just put a label on it if he need a particular game

Winter Games was great on the Apple IIGS and Commodore 64. I don't know how they butchered the NES version so much.
