Hi Ellie, the bear and the nightingale series is one of my favourites too. The anthology sounds fun. The fright before Christmas appears interesting. A lot of your books mentioned I've read. Fantastic video Ellie. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 😊☃️🎄

Oh my goodness 🤯 I can't believe it haha. Reaching 1k would be the best Christmas present ever! Yes!! Bob is the best ❤ You need to continue on - the books get better and better in my opinion. The first book was a lot of set up and it picks up a bit in the second book 😄

Hey Ellie, hope you're well. I'm so glad you enjoyed Near the Bone, its a great book. If you want another cryptid on a snowy mountain novel Bishop by Candace Nola is worth a read. I've been meaning to read The Whistling, it's been on my kindle for ages.

Hi John, Yes, I really enjoyed Near The Bone. It was perfect for getting me out of my reading slump! Thank you for the recommendation 😊 I've been enjoying The Whistling. It's not anything ground breaking but it has nice short chapters and I'm enjoying the spooky atmosphere! You will have to let me know your thoughts if you do read it.

@@bibbidibobbidibooks the whisting sounds like something I'd enjoy, I'm always looking out for creepy ghost stories. I'm reading something pretty disturbing at the moment so something less intense sounds great haha.

I find the idea of a winter book intriguing. I'm trying to figure out how to make it work for my favorite genre, which is history. I guess you did that here, because you picked one on the history of fantastical Christmas characters. If I wanted a winter book that wasn't a Christmas specific book, I'm not sure what I'd pick. Maybe a book on the Vikings because it was cold up North? I don't normally read based on season.

A book on Vikings would work well for a winter setting. I have heard good things about "Children of Ash and Elm" by Neil Price. You could also try "The White Darkness" by David Grann. It's a novella about the British explorer Henry Worsley who set out across Antarctica, battling the freezing, desolate landscape, life-threatening physical exhaustion, and hidden crevasses. I haven't read it, but I have read other history books by that author and enjoy his writing. Thanks so much for watching and commenting ❤
