@@nightlock_games frfr I've played through that game multiple times and now its rubber band is even more ridiculous than it was before lol Some races are straight up impossible. (Some speedtrap races)

It's disappointing that no Sonic game has given Tails this level of freedom since.

You know if you think about it, this is probably the only game where this absurd level of rubberbanding makes sense. Sonic is said to be the fastest thing alive, so it makes perfect sense that he'd go exactly fast enough to keep up with tails without overtaking him.

You can actually do this in Sonic's story too. It's more precise, and (I think) you have to weave between some death barriers or something, but it's doable.

Honestly, i liked thos style of Sonic games the most. Not quite open world but still very free and lots of options to switch between characters. Level designs were pretty decent, and fantastic for the time. It's definitely got it's bugs and issues, but for a game this old, it was pretty top notch

This is a dream come true to see this done.

For those wondering howstud've: Tails can fully fly in this game, but glides when not holding jump. While Tails has limited stamina for flying, his downwards glide doesn't take that stamina, allowing you to stay airborne indefinitely if you're always going down.

this blew my mind when I first saw it at agdq. The trick is you have to be close enough to the rails to keep loading in geometry, if there isn’t a land loaded in Tails falls right off.

Sonic was like “oh nah he just jumped? Okay.”

now THAT was impressive

Tails’ voice is do adorable.

The dumbest thing about the Tails missions when racing Sonic is that you actually lose a life if Sonic beats you. They're LITERALLY working together to accomplish the same goal and it goes to show how stupid Sega was back during the late 90s. They could have just given the player the worst grade ever. The Eggman version was the only one that made since with him trying to blow up an entire city.

i remember this. back in the day where everyone played in their pc sadx bootlegs with one single track in the ost, and people would post videos of themselves playing with pvm mods, or 3d mods of they managed to edit the .dll file. theyd also add custom music. among all those things, ppl loved posted this shortcut haha ot was great
