  The key to speedruns like this is learning to click very quickly without stressing out your hand. Only use the muscles you need to, don't instinctively tense up your whole hand in order to click faster. It'll make your clicks slightly slower, but you're only losing a few fractions of a second in exchange for upping your hand's endurance by several times.

  You know if you think about it, this is probably the only game where this absurd level of rubberbanding makes sense. Sonic is said to be the fastest thing alive, so it makes perfect sense that he'd go exactly fast enough to keep up with tails without overtaking him.

  I got the achievement for killing a Shakiriyya by accident almost immediately after the game granting access to interchangeable swords, daggers and costumes. That is with almost no experience of the game ( 1 hour playthrough ) I could easily beat supposedly the hardest enemy in the game. So yes, the lightning sword combined with lightning dagger is overpowered as can be.

  The dumbest thing about the Tails missions when racing Sonic is that you actually lose a life if Sonic beats you. They're LITERALLY working together to accomplish the same goal and it goes to show how stupid Sega was back during the late 90s. They could have just given the player the worst grade ever. The Eggman version was the only one that made since with him trying to blow up an entire city.

  For those wondering howstud've: Tails can fully fly in this game, but glides when not holding jump. While Tails has limited stamina for flying, his downwards glide doesn't take that stamina, allowing you to stay airborne indefinitely if you're always going down.
