The 900 pulled Levy to a Pawn-King Endgame, makes me proud

Totally! I came to the comments on first watch after the 900's game just to give that player props for a good game. Any game where you can push an opponent to a King and Pawn endgame when the opponent is better (by rating) than you is a good game. In this case, it was a great game. Well done!

@@nashoo2968 That's because Danya is specifically focused on instructional content in his speedrunning, Levy splits his content between entertainment and usefulness, also Daniel Naroditsky is a GM so at the higher levels his content has more to offer, but definitely Levy is better for a higher portion of the chess community.
@nashoo2968
Жыл бұрын
@@nivnavion No, Danya is just a better teacher imo; he goes through all the lines in depth and answers the questions too. Also he generally doesnt blunder like Levy does. I love watching him but Daniel is way better at teaching chess

@@nashoo2968 So what you're saying is exactly what the other guy just said lol. Levy doesn't go as in depth (Splitting between entertainment and teaching while also preserving lines for his courses) and he blunders more (Isn't a GM)
Honestly I think these are my favorite videos - very laid back, good amount of knowledge. Same energy as chatting over brunch. Perfect for a Sunday morning.
I learned a lot about the copycat playing against the engine, crazy how you're winning if and only if you play the correct move and how fast it can fall appart despite the advantage. Good video once again!

The position after Qf6 is apparently holdable, but the moves begin to be computer-like several moves after Kf8 and h5. The most computer-like moves are to retreat your pieces to kick out white's most active pieces in order to more or less equalize the position. Kf8 was not an otherworldly move to see after Qxf2+, but it's certainly counterintuitive to surrender castling rights (well, despite white surrendering castling rights as well) while several pieces are threatening utter destruction.
I was really missing this series! Make more please!

Levy, this series and "Guess the ELO" are your two best series. They're easy for someone like me who is still beginner/intermediate player to understand and get behind. You seriously need to do more of these - like maybe twice a week. Can't wait for the next episode as these really help me a lot, especially when you are explaining the positions, how to think about what needs to be done, and how to counter your opponent
This is such an informative series. I look forward to a repeat of the How to Climb the Rating Ladder since most of us are at least 200 points higher than when you last put it out

Hey Levy, one of my favorite parts of the original win at chess series was when chat would ask a question about a stupid move that I was thinking of you would explain why it was stupid. So as much as I get cutting chat for filthy language purposes, it was part of what made it nice for me personally, so I'd like to see it come back. Just my opinion though, keep doing you

Love when its content where you explain each move, makes it so much easier for us to learn🙂
This is my favourite series. So glad it's back. Definitely the reason along with your opening courses that I've gone from 900 to 1300 since watching you.
Levy, since having rediscovered chess late last year and having discovered your channel shortly thereafter, you’ve provided me with days of content that have-I am certain-made me better. I just pulled the trigger on your Beginner Bootcamp course. I look forward to absorbing the information and smashing right through my opponents’ minds.
This series helps me a lot it prevents me from getting tunnel vision and helps me create a strategy, taking initiative move, learning several complicated tactics, enhances my thinking ability and some basics i haven't know Thank you for continuing this series
My Favorite series!! Thanks for bringing this back levi!
LOVE this series. Seeing the real-time thought process is awesome.
Glad these are back! A lot of educational content can be hard to consume because it isn’t about specifically what you want to study or you can’t ask questions. This series works because it’s just seeing real games and picking up on ideas and patterns and learning small things. And it remains more entertaining than most educational content because you’re invested in the outcome of games.
I missed this series so much! The most interesting part of watching chess games to me is following the thought process. Thanks for making this again!
This is the best series on your channel. I love it. Just found it. Will watch the other 21 episodes now.
Thank you so much for bringing this series back. My favourite and so instructive
Love this series. Please continue with it. I watch the playlist over and over.
Woooow, that QG8 line was amazing. Bro, I've studied your Vienna course copycat variation and I've lost many games than won it because I did messed up my lines but man I have to do my homework as well. I need to watch your video again about the Vienna system with the addition of that QG8 line. That's just nasty, you either get smashed with it or you smash people with it. Simply amazing! Thanks bro, keep this series up. We learn a lot of things.
So glad you decided to do more win at chess videos. They are the best and have seen all at least two times. Good job. Keep it up.
Thank you LEvy I have been hoping the series would be back! Your commentary is great but this is better!
Thank you for this video. This series specifically pulls me out of my slumps. Chess fatigue and what not. But this series motivates me to keep going. So much that I beat a 2200 as a 1690. I just thought, “what would Gotham do?” Best advice I heard was what you said about looking at your opponents best move. I loved your Caro course that I just purchased with the code the D4 dynamite and E4 New York. Just because it gave me another discount. Keep up the great work Levy.
my favorite series ever... Thanks for bringing it back gotham!
This was a good amount of time for a longer episode. Thank you. Any news on the training drills?
love this series, would enjoy the evaluation bar during though!
Enjoyed the series--fun to watch the evolution as you try different formats. Losing the chat was nice (fewer distractions--"please don't play chess with distractions" was a great line in #22). Finally got to the end and the end game course website is under construction! Also liked the phrase, "It's never to late to..." [get mated, develop, lose the game, etc.]. Great content...yes, sooner than 4 months!
So happy you brought this series back! Definitely my favorite along with guess the elo.
I have MISSED this so much; my favorite Gotham series by far
I binge watched this series and was waiting for more episodes!

A return of the series?? Cool! We might see Guess The Eval, Chess Steps and Elo Swap again! Let’s hope!!
Love all your content, but I have been missing these a lot. Best learning videos for sure!
Levy, I just want to say I've taken roughly a year break from chess, this is my favorite series and I was so happy to see another one come out that I think you may have just reignited that urge to play and for that I thank you so much. You have made my entire year stg. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
I think I need to rewatch all of these episodes with chessly open. I've never gotten the variation from the last game, but I was excited to know the line and plans in the position as a 900.
Very instructive. Please make more of these!
If you play Pablo the 1600 chess engine you can practice the Vienna Mirror (copycat) variation, with numerous outcomes incl Nf6 😁 Good to see Win at Chess back
Omg my favorite series is finally back! Thank you so much Levy 🥰

Imo this is by far the most enjoyable content you can bring! Good job, nice series!
This i definitely my fav series, educational and entertaining the first time I watch it and great to fall asleep to next next times
52:30 I went to look it up, the best move here is Kf8, protecting g7 and getting out of the Nc7 fork. It's the funny sort of move that obviously helps solve all your problems, but is so hard to see upfront
So calm and instructive. I really missed this series!

love this series. Glad its back
You should show the eval/engine lines while doing the analysis. I think it would be pretty helpful for those of us who have no intuition about when some engine ideas might be useful, but still want to follow them. It also really helps to put what you're talking about in some context.
Thank you I really miss this series!!
Hello Levy, I have an important question (important for me at least). When you are thinking and calculating some moves in your head, without looking at the chessboard you are seeing in your imagination the whole board and pieces moves, or do you see only the part, where right now pieces are moving, and the rest of the board is kind blured? I hope you understand what I awkwardly tried to say and you will answer me soon. Love your content, Take care coach!

I would expect it depends on the position and and how many points of material are on the board. A complex position demands whole board awareness but it’s just so much more energy. Both approaches can be utilized appropriately depending on the situation.
