    Yonex Rexis is my favorite at 54lbs... but it notched bad at 2nd week and about 14 hours and started fraying so I cut it out at about 17 hours because I had a match that weekend and didn't want it popping during my match.

    Cool review. I've been using this string in a hybrid as I've got a mild case of tennis elbow. Multi in the main, poly crosses. This string surprised me how comfortable it is and quietens down the poly. It's good rehab for my arm.

    Jonathan I was hesitant at first because I knew there would be obvious performance drops coming from poly, and of course as tennis players we are trying to squeeze every little bit of performance out of everything to gain an edge. But it reality this string shined in certain areas and made up for other areas. Was just an overall comfortable fun experience - and fun factor isn't a string spec but maybe it should be. Would LOVE to try ZX and have it on my radar for sure. Would make for a nice review. Thanks again

    How long did you get good play from this string? I have a set lying around & usually go for a hybrid set up.. I am also looking to try Hyper-G ! TW also recommended going super low on tension with poly like 44-46lbs in my Pure Strike 98. Thoughts!? I'm liking the channel, keep up the great vids!

  • @EvokeTennis

    @EvokeTennis

    4 жыл бұрын

    mikecbrblue full bed I’d say about 10 hours of good play, then it snapped about 12 hours, so in line with the playability of most polys - and cheaper, more comfy. Yes when I tested Hyper G I was at 43 lbs so on a pure strike I’d say definitely because you have plenty of stiffness from the racket. It’ll be powerful, but a fun one for sure. I just got a reel of hyper g so I’ll be playing around with it! Cheers HNY!

    You mention a tour bite soft in 18g to play up. What tension would you recommend for that in a 2019 pure aero? Currently using rpm blast at 52lbs but it is somewhat unpredictable

  • @EvokeTennis

    @EvokeTennis

    4 жыл бұрын

    If your arm is good with the rpm at 52 you could probably bump it up to 55 on tb soft 18 and it still be way more plush. Warning though, if rpm blast in that racket is unpredictable, you'll find tb soft to be way more unpredictable in the control dept. I personally find it worth it to have more comfort day to day, so it's worth it for me.
