But it was repeated multiple times - when I grow up, it was on TV until TNG came along. When I moved to France and then later to the UK, in both countries, on some channels they played TOS & TNG; in the UK not so much but again Doctor Who and TopGear was more prominent here. I remember saying a few years ago, that Shatner will outlive all of his acting colleagues and looking at him here, I get the feeling I was probably right.

It was very good. Multiple directors, writers, etc. I liked "Lost In Space" too and let's not forget "The Time Tunnel". I liked Gene Roddenberry's vision. I like Irwin Allen's stuff to. I wish that Rod Serling had lived and continued his series as well.

And he got his wish to go up to space. At 90! I was actually a bit worried for his health watching that rocket shoot up. That ride made him experience 5g's! He took it like a boss though. He was so giddy coming out of the capsule. I'm glad he got his wish.

Good luck with that haha. As long as you're a millionaire for the majority of your life, you'll be fine. You're already a millionaire, right? Otherwise I don't see the sense in "planning to look this good at 91". Don't forget about the upkeep, you can't just get surgery once, you have to keep going (and paying). In case you didn't know, the timing of this wasnt accidental. Shatner launched into space in a Blue Origin rocket today. Oldest man to ever go to space. It's only fitting since he helped inspire so many that are currently and previously working on space exploration.

I'm impressed how, unlike Stewart, Shatner's voice is still as powerful and clear as it was 50 years ago.

He has a new show, a new album, writing a book, going into space. I’m taking a nap later today.

Most successful actors tend to get a reputation for being difficult. Probably an ego thing wanting to be top dog all the time. Add on the insecurity of an acting career and co star’s fighting is that surprising. Now he’s ancient he has nothing to prove and can mellow out a bit.

I fell in love with Captain Kirk when I was 10 years old watching reruns of star trek in the 70's. Became totally obsessed with star trek in the 80's. It got me through a really tough time in a bad situation in a terrible job. Had a huge crush on William Shatner in the 90's when my marriage was breaking down. He has got me through some hard times. I still totally love him. What an amazing man! x

Would love to have a chat with him before he passes. I’m 41 years old, and he was older than I am now when I was born. This guy starred in Rod Serling twilight zones. He seems sharp as a tack and would likely have so many stories to recall. He also seems to acknowledge and own his ego back in the 60’s and we now see a humble down to earth old guy not afraid to make fun of himself.

There was a a good decade or two where it was fashionable to make fun of him. I'm glad people are starting to appreciate him again.

Shatner has good genetics but I have a feeling that he might be experimenting with anti-aging drugs because he looks almost 30 years younger than most ever will at 90 years old. I met him at a convention just days after Nimoy passed. He was still charming and nice speaking to everyone but you could tell he was just feeling down. Of course, the countless people offering condolences to him all day long for 3 days straight probably didn't help his mood either.

I'm still in love with William Shatner. Such a great sense of humor.

Great genes, joy for living, always doing something. One of my favourite scientists, James Lovelock is something like 102, looks, 70, and is still working full time and is totally sharp. A big part of that is that he made a lot of money on an invention in the 1940s and has had his own independent lab ever since. There’s a lot to be said for not having someone boss you around and getting to pursue your interests.

And he DID go to space! Love this guy he's an icon

This is just CRAZEEE: at 90, the man looks 60 - and he is sharper, with more energy and a better vocabulary and delivery than most people could ever hope to achieve in their lives...
