George Harrison in Anthology had no idea what songs were on what Beatle records. Paul even joked about in the interview. As fans we live in the past and want to know everything about them. They were just four guys having fun until it was not fun anymore. Sure they were the biggest band in the world but they moved on and I myself would be sick of answering the same questions for almost 60 years.

But questions like that are wishy-washy and ambiguous. It’s like “when did you guys start dating?” One person may see “dating” as the point in time that they and their partner began regularly hanging out on the weekends. Another person may see “dating” as much more “official”. Like after months of “hanging out” they don’t consider that “dating” until there’s an agreement between them to not see other people. When the Beatles began is like asking when WWII began. Was it in motion after the Treaty of Versailles was signed and started to punish Germany? Was it when Hitler seized power in 1933?

All of The Beatles had different stories about the Elvis meeting because they were all really high and also starstruck. Lennon even claimed that, because Elvis was playing a Fender bass when they met him, that they all “just grabbed whatever instrument was around and played and sang with him” which all the other Beatles later refuted in a joint interview for Anthology. John also said they snuck into the bathroom at Buckingham Palace when they received their MBEs and smoked a joint, which George later claimed was just a cigarette and John was trying to sound cool by saying he met the queen stoned.

He is so... idk, pleasant to see and listen to! And so young without playing young. Nice and light hearted humour, interesting history behind the answers. Loved this QA session.

His version of the american accent 😂 hes a freaking treasure.

I worked as a stagehand on a Paul McCartney show. After hours of performing, he stopped on the way out, to gesture to the stagehands, and applauded us for setting up the show. He forever will be the most classy of rock performers of all time. Id love to just hang out with him for a day.

​@@JFFM730 Paul didn't die. He continued for the rest of the 60s as Vivian Stanshall in Bonzo. Meanwhile William took over the role as "James Paul McCartney".

Paul is so honest and really engaging. He is a pleasure to listen to. For all he has accomplished, he seems to have no ego, and be very down to earth. What you see is what you get. A lovely man.

He doesn't half talk alot of crap. "I took my shoes off for the cover of Abby roads because it was a hot day!" Everything about him is just plain daft and wrong!

His comment about a click track- I respect that SO much. Specifically as a drummer and a singer myself, and also being 18 and working with other kids who aren’t legends or anything, we certainly get off tempo at times- but like Paul said, if one of us gets off we go with the drummer. Or if the drummer gets faster or slower, we still go with the drummer. You can’t just go off on the tempo you think or know it’s supposed to be- then your not thinking of everyone else

Exactly! Why does a professional musician need a click track when there's a drummer on stage? It takes away the opportunity for tempo changes and extending/shortening solos or ad libbing in the lyrics. As soon as there is a backing track or a click track the performance can no longer be spontaneous.

Paul is so cool. It's as if you were his friend while he talks to you.

Just imagine 2 Beatles arguing about how they met Elvis. That's literally legendary.

The great thing is I just found out today that he got his original Bass back. it was in a Pub in Liverpool all along. passed down and sold among couple individuals and then the wife of one came acoss it and turned it over to Paul. nice! ECF
