Very humble dude. Could easily have put himself second after Dias in terms of defenders right now and there would be few arguments. Yep, he's an inspiration. To think Arteta tossed him to the curb for 3 years, exiling him completely as if he was a "bad character" .. what an absolute joke. Arteta did admit he was "afraid there was damage there" when he FINALLY gave him a chance - fortunately, Saliba is far more mature than Arteta could ever dream of being, so just dealt with business once allowed to kick a ball here.

Credit to Saliba for putting Dias first and placing him top _currently_ instead of reputation tbh. VVD is no doubt one of the best but Dias's quality last season needed to be acknowledged

LFC fan here. Seems like Arsenal have a gem in thier back line with this guy and he does seem like a good dude. I think he’ll be a brute in that back line for years to come.

I just look at Martin Odegaard and what a fantastic player he is for arsenal, he's up there with the top five best midfielders in the premier league only behind Kevin De Bruyne and Bruno fernandes. But was odegaard even that good at Real Madrid? But then all of a sudden arsenal loaned him in and he became a success and then they bought him on a permanent deal and just got better and better.

people forget he was 15 when he joined real and he’s never played terribly on his loans. he’s always shown world class technique but his g/a needed work. real recalled him a year into a 2 year sociedad loan and didn’t play him. arsenal was prob the first stable environment he has been in as a player and that probably benefits his performance,
