Vidic was a super defender and I was always scared when we played against him. I think he gets in over Kompany. But Flex chose Stam instead and despite Stam being a great CB, didn't play as long in the PL as Kompany and thus he did not get in.

People forget him because he was the beginning of United. He won every Premier League he was involved in bar 95 because he was banned. You can argue he was also the catalyst for United's 20 year dominance. If he stayed another couple of seasons and got that Treble he would have been forever immortalised as a God. Sir Alex have proven himself in longevity and Pep has proven himself in three different leagues. But yeah, even as united fans I can see that Pep is likely already surpassing Sir Alex in shorter time of his career, but yeah both are undoubtedly legend.

While I agree pep is doing more earlier in his career, he's always had fantastic teams and the money to buy the additional players. I think Pep has the potential to overtake fergie in the long run, but for a lot of people, he'll need to do more than win titles with already title winning sides. It'll be exciting to see what he does next though, perhaps Italy?

Roy Keane was the tidiest centre midfielder in Premier League history. Passing round the corner, breaking lines with through balls, first touch passing. Forget about leadership etc, Keane was unreal. He was a British record signing, and in the late 90s Juventus and Bayern Munich both desperately tried to sign him in the late 90s…he was seen as a truly elite midfield player and passer by the finest teams in Europe at the time.

Saying this as a neutral. Fergie took a team that hadn’t won the league in 20 years and turned them into the biggest club in the world with limited resources compared to Pep. Pep took a team that had underperformed for a season and a half, but before that was the best team in England, he had near unlimited resources, and made them into the best team in the world. In terms of on the pitch and the accolades/accomplishments, that is definitely a fair argument. However, one element that is entering the argument is the culture change. Pep is changing cultures of not just teams, but also the leagues he has been to with his play style. It's a clear footballing identity that has demonstrated its transferability. In addition, another thing going for Pep is the teaching quality. Look at how many top managers there are who were managed by him or worked with him as an assistant.

It's not really madness, Giggs a legend mostly for longevity, consistently a 7-8/10 for 20 years. But Silva was special, Hazard level one man game changer but he should be at number 10 position, wasn't really a winger and wouldn't get in over Rooney there.

This means Keane is so underrated

I would've put Silva (David) instead of Rodri, and instead of Silva, I'd play a Sterling card, and with Silva in midfield, I'd have Haaland up front instead of Mahrez. Also, not playing Beckham or Cantona, even as a City fan, I think is criminal.

Ive never unstood why people do 433 standard when most modern teams play a 433 with a CAM or 4231 now. Back in the early 2000 and late 90s teams played 422 mostley. I bet Neville has more goals and assists than walker's but in my team Kyle would be the main defender... The transition comptroller, defending and attacking applying pressure, releasing it with his runs... Great player.

Only at the defenders so far in the video and far play to these two for being the least bias and most rational pairing I’ve seen in awhile. No delusion, lots of respect for both teams, and fair arguments. Class!

I get your logic. But you have to realize that there’s no overlap here. Fergie’s teams didn’t produce 90+ points every season but I get that Fergie maximized players potential to win.

Love Roy Keane but having him over Rodri is just ludicrous. Heck Keane doesn't get in over Yaya or even Fernandinho, probably also a shout for Gundogan over Keane as well.

No Ederson did NOT change the GK style.. Edwin Van Der Sar did.. Edwin was the first GK to be able to play with both feet..

Thats because Aguero’s longevity was endless. Cantona, Van Persie, Owen, Forlan, Ole and Van Nistelrooy all had far shorter runs. Owen and Forlan were absolutely awful for United as well, so no idea why you’re mentioning them. City have also had 3 elite strikers, youre forgetting Tevez.

I don't mind playing 4231 with Rooney in the 10. But you can't play Scholes-KDB as the 2. Any combination of Keane/Rodri with Scholes/KDB would be a better team if you had to actually play. I reckon it was better with Rooney on the left and either Keane/Rodri for Silva.
